17 points, 17 rebounds in his first 2 games. Easily the most well rounded player on the team.

The best thing about his first 2 games as a Sooner? Zero turnovers in 64 minutes of play. So it is a good thing you don't notice him fumbling the ball away like Cade Davis constantly is.

Agreed...and he still seems a bit timid out there with the ball. Once he really settles in I think he'll pick up the scoring some more.

I don't see him being timid. He is just a freshman not forcing things. Davis, Pledger & Thompson keep shooting 27% combined and it won't be long before Newell and Clark start taking their shots because they are shooting 47%.

8 ppg makes you a stud?

I think most would agree that he hasnt really even shown anything yet. If OU played Arizona tomorrow, I (and everyone else) would have pretty much no idea what to expect.

He might be a stud, or he may be a year away. We just don't know yet.

Go find me 5 true freshmen averaging 8.5 boards, 8.5 points without a single turnover trolls. You won't find any but Cameron Clark because he is a stud.

He can sure elevate:

You'll find some putting up better numbers that's for sure but that's beside the point...Cam Clark is going to be a stud. I concur.

Cheno your post is a bit off--the contention was that he IS a stud, not that he is going to be one.

Maybe its just because I havent noticed him out there, but I dont think in 3 games ive seen him dribble the basketball yet.

Just look at the picture bigtime posted. He IS a stud. An elite athlete with solid basketball skills.

He will be Big XII all freshman barring injury. When all is said and done Clark and Newell will the leading producers on this years team and a solid foundation for a tournament run next season.

If only Gallon wasn't a knucklehead we would really have a complete core.

This is simple to explain. You haven't noticed him because you are in search of negatives. Since he has made few mistakes and is not shooting 20% he is not on your radar.

Maybe not dribbling or being aggressive has resulted in not making a mistake.

i'm with abd on this one. Yes, he's performed solidly so far, but to say he will be a "stud" is a bit premature. He has shown little to no assertiveness on the offensive end, especially for a guy known to be a slasher. Hopefully he'll get more comfortable in his role by Big 12.
