Capel opens up after loss to Aggies >>> The Oklahoman

What would you have done differently, Nick? We need specific answers, please.

I don't like the outcome of this season any more than the rest of you. But truthfully, none of us know what his 'mistakes' were because we aren't on the inside. We know he's suspended players because that's obvious on game day. But as far as anything else that might or might not have been a mistake, we don't have any way to know.

The internet is populated with a whole lot of people who have 20/20 hindsight and the arrogance of it is extremely annoying.

there's a reason why Capel is paid 1.5 million dollars a year to figure out these answers not Nick.
Also annoying is the high and mighty attitude of those who like to stick their hand in sand yet still proclaim everything is great because it has OU on the side of it.

:clap

I can tell you the root of the problem is discipline and lack of it. Capel wants to hip hop with these guys instead of making them toe the line. Well, he hipped and hopped all the way to a putrid 13-18 record and losing 9 straight.

Capel is a nice guy and would be a great assistant coach, but he is not head coach material at a top 25 program. Maybe one day he will be, but not now.

His first mistake was not telling those guys that Tony Crocker was the best player and why he was. These guys don't get that it's a 40 minute game that you cant take plays off on on either end of the court.

Outstanding point.

Hopefully he is willing to do whatever it takes to make sure that next year we get to watch a group of guys that realize that while the 'Oklahoma' on the front may not have a national championship tradition, it is a proud tradition none the less, and should be respected as such.

Your comment is a big freaking problem with this basketball program. Why do you need to denigrate the team with your "positive" comment. That is so typical of people from Oklahoma. OU is one of the best programs in the country. You don't need to qualify it before you say it. If someone else wants to say "well OU has never won a championship" let them say it. No school in the Big XII has won a championship in the modern era other than KU. Most schools have not won a championship. It does not mean they don't have really good basketball programs.

Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed this morning?

Huh?

I'd rather have :jcapel here for a while.

North Carolina had a disappointing year with even more talent. I think Roy Williams is still considered a damn good coach.

A bunch of Freshman played like a bunch of freshman, I think its that simple.
