The nation's leading juco three point shooter plays for Connors State in Warner OK. Shaquille Shannon, a 6-3 guard, has hit 58% of his threes this year.
Not sure, but what I do know is that it's an excellent trend that kids named after Shaq are starting to get to college. Will be interesting to see when all the littel LeBrons start showing up on the scene in 10 years.
Stats can be deceiving sometimes. According to the NJCAA web site, his 58%from three is on 40 shots in 21 games. He's averaging a little over 11 ppg and 5 rebs per game. His rebounding average is not bad for a shooting guard. His ppg average is not all that impressive for a second-year player. Nothing about those stats jumps out as a player OU should be recruiting.
That's where the somewhat positive portion of the story ends. He's only shooting 65% from the free throw line, which is not all that great. He's also turning the ball over nearly 2.5 times per game. We've got those two stats covered fairly well on this year's team.
