Cheno-What happened?

I liked Cheno because he knows basketball, I frankly think he got so disgusted with Capel and the state of the program that he felt it was the best thing for him to do was leave.

I do think though he enjoyed the KU superiority over OU in basketball and took some pretty good shots.

If an OU fan did that on another team's board, they wouldn't last long.

Nobody is losing any sleep that Cheno isn't around anymore... but, I would say that this board is less than cordial to fans from around the league.

I don't care what goes on at other forums, as that should not be the standard for how people are received here. If they are here to talk basketball, I don't give a crap what school they pull for. They shouldnt have a short leash, they dont have to come here and pay homage just because this site is a meeting place for OU fans, they shouldnt have to put up with people censoring what they post and questioning their agendas, etc. You say that you like them to post here, but the second "they" post something someone doesnt like they are told to watch it, that this is an OU board, that they should go to their own board, etc.

They are just guys wanting to talk basketball with other good basketball fans, which this board has. Some of you are so childish and petty that you actually care about what team they like. Why does it matter? Who cares?

There are a great amount of OSU fans who post here and beside the occasional ribbing nothing every happens to them. The only one I recall being given the boot was blankenship and he was one who originally posed as an OU fan and even his OSU fans didn't like him.

DFWhoopster (Baylor) is a constant contributor here.

Sawyer (Missouri) is a constant contributor.

Sys and fatty (KSU) are constant contributors.

Thats 5 out of the 10 schools left in the big 12 (including OU) that constantly post here.

If this place is less than cordial then why would so many of them be willing to come here and put up with the supposed "harassment" on here?

What do you want this place to be a commune for Big 12 basketball fans? To join up with the Big 12 hoops blog and be the Big12Hoops board? I just dont see your point of opposing fans being marked as "outcasts" on here.

When I read peoples post on here about KU it reminds me of what OSU fans sound like when talking about OU.

Yeah this board does and I argue that if the overall harassment was so bad then those guys wouldn't show up. This place is a good place to talk Big 12 hoops as is, I dont get why you have issues with OU fans wanting to be OU fans.

Honestly, it should be, but you've been on internet message boards long enough to know that is never the case or will be. If you're looking for that perfect blend of peaceful OU basketball and Big 12 talk then I really doubt if you ever find it here.

I don't think any school's posters have been harder on Sooner players or coaches than actual Sooner fans for the last 18 months. Capel, Nick, Tiny, TMG have all been wore out by the regular posters on this board. I think some of those posters may be trolls posting with pro-OU screen names.

I don't think any one poster "makes" a board, but it is nice to hear insight on other Big 12 schools from people who have much better info/connections to that program.
