Colorado State

Ughhhh!!

Any doubt what the instructions were out of the gate to start the fourth quarter????

much better second half! If we can just find a way to be consistently like we were in the second half we would be alright! I think we tend to play down to our opponents sometimes unfortunately. I'm excited to see which team shows up against Oregon!

78-46. The kids got some work. They beat Gonzaga. Didn't look like a team that would beat Gonzaga tonight.

TCU was upset by Yale in Fort Worth. Belmont killed Samford. SMU wiped out Abilene christian.

Just a handful of thoughts after watching the game.

1. This is going to be a difficult team to watch at times.

2. It's a good thing CSU didn't play their best game tonight.

3. I don't think we will ever put a stop to having our bigs catch the ball, and although surrounded by 2-3 opponent payers, try to bounce the ball on the court instead of passing to an open player.

4. I don't think we will ever get control of players driving into the lane, and even though confronted by 3-4 players, throwing up a wild (often very wild) shot which doesn't get close to going in, instead of passing it to someone else. Why can't SC teach them that if you are surrounded by most of the other team's players, someone - probably several someones - have to be open?

5. I have other thoughts, but will leave them unsaid, since most of you who watched the game likely have the same thoughts already.

Agree on all points. At our best tonight I dont think we played very well. Didnt look inspired, intense, interested, enthusiastic, etc. Not hard to tell when we arent really focused.

I think some of you are just looking for the bad stuff. We forced them out of their offensive flow with early pressure and CSU never recovered.

I thought it was one of the best defensive games we have played in awhile. we switched well and also helped well. Put pressure on the outside shooters.

Gabbi got it going on offense. Created some of her own shots. Maddie never really got into the flow too well. Pellington was good but made some errors by trying to do too much. They really mobbed Vivi but the others made up for her lack of offensive production. Ana was soso. Still missing shots she needs to make and tries to do too much sometimes. Still a lot of upside there. Simpson was better tonight. Still showing some court savvy. If she was not injured or ill she should have been in there at the end of the game. She needs all the reps she can get before the Big 12. Williams is playing better than I expected but still gets a little wild sometimes. But what do you want. We crushed them. They looked a little slow to me so didn't match up well but if you are not happy with the team jumping out to a big lead and holding and improving it throughout the game I don't know what you are looking for. I don't like the way we set up for three point shots. Who else sets up 5-10 feet behind the 3 point line when there is room to move closer. But if you can't feel good about a 32 point win on the road in a game that was expected to be tough I don't know what will satisfy you.

There are dozens of plays in every basketball game. Everything is not going to go perfectly every time, maybe not much more than half of the time. I liked the way we played tonight. We will find a faster Oregon team much harder to beat but I think this was a pretty good game.

I agree. We had to play all 3 freshmen a lot of the first half because of foul trouble and they held their own. CSU went over 11 minutes without scoring and it wasn't all because of just bad shots. Moving Gabbi really seems to be paying dividends.

It does seem that if the other team shoots 30%, it is nothing that our defense did. The fact that our team is shooting much better this year, (48 to 43% FG, 40 to 34% from three) seems to be regarded as luck.

Gabbi and Maddie are both over 40% from three. We are doing something right.

UConn may beat a lot of teams. They took out #5 UCLA, 78-60 in LA.

I didn't get to watch this game. I'm glad I checked the score before I came to this board. I would have thought we lost if I came here first. :facepalm

I didn't get to watch either. But, like MSProud, I would have also thought we lost had I come here before seeing the score.

Someone – probably several someones – must have played pretty well for OU to beat CSU by 32.

This board is becoming borderline intolerable.

We won by 30+ on the road against a team that won their league a year ago. We only committed 11 turnovers. Hit over 70% of the free-throws. Played really good perimeter defense and had a ton of contributions from freshmen.

To me, you show your true colors whenever you complain like a total idiot after a game like last night. What it tells me is that you complain about everything. You have zero credibility. At least wait until a game that justifies your idiotic clueless commentary.

It's going to be ugly against UCONN? Well, no crap it's going to be ugly against UCONN. Can you tell me another program on earth that has dominated a sport like they have? Or any other team that doesn't get stomped by them 99.5% of the time? What a bold prediction!

Good gosh. I don't even know why I come on here to read some of this garbage anymore. It's just stupid.

If Coach just used social media we would beat them.

I am sorry if I offended some on this board, I thought it was an opinion board.....I am often accused of being overly critical. I'm used to it....:o

But I see nothing wrong with pointing out what I see as problems....and yeah, I want to win every game.

Anybody here think we could compete with UCONN???

Anybody have an idea as to where we finish in the Big 12?

As I said, I don't think it's wrong to voice opinions about this team....I just see things a little different, right or wrong.
