So I watched OU play and then switched over to see UConn vs. UCLA, both teams are in a different orbit than OU is/was last night. Just looking at the little things made me sad that OU can't play like that. My hope is that when this senior class is gone and we have all of these new, fresh, talented younger players come in, things will change. But then again we will still have the same coaching staff so who knows. I know SC is capable of having a top team, she's gone to 3 Final Fours and the talent coming in the next couple of years plus our freshmen (Shaina and Ana) will be comparable talentwise. (although I will say so far i'm let down by what Ana's shown, let's hope she's a different, more confident player by year end, or well before!).
I'm encouraged that UCLA commandingly beat Baylor. I know there were other circumstances going on at the time that affected BU, but them having a down year may help our overall record/seeding to tournaments. Bottom line, I think we will really find out what kind of team we have when we play Oregon and see how they compete. Here's to hoping! I'm rooting for the upset!
