So, OU is a more of a running team this year. I watched a practice on FSSW and it was very up tempo, guys constantly wiping sweat off, etc. It seems like they are all really in good shape. My question is, where is the line on too much? Is there a risk with all that running a jumping that they can get dead legs... Does Lon reduce their running and intensity leading up to a game? It's a long season, just wondering how they mitigate that...

Yes they do lighten up coming in to game dates. They ran hard today. But, it is 8 days till the next game. I asked Spangler today if his conditioning was to the point he was handling those 30+ minutes per game OK. He said he was about there. Coach was doing a good job of getting him the breaks when he needed them. They tug on the fronts of their jersey to signal the bench that they need a breather.
