Contested midrange shots

The math on this is simple, these shots should NEVER be attempted. You are hurting your team every single time you attempt them, yet Lon consistently allows guys to jack them up with time left on the shotclock. Doolittle is the biggest offender here, but everyone does it. It's such a simple and obvious thing that it makes you question everything Lon is doing on offense when he allows it to go on. You'd prefer ball movement to get open shots, but barring that at least step out behind the line if you're going to jack a contested shot.
 
From watching the last few years it really seems his offense is basically 1/5. We dribble out top... maybe do the pass off... then 1 guy will try and go to the rim or shoot a 3 or long 2.

Don’t see a lot of movement outside of the top.

Maybe that’s the new way but I don’t get it.

Hell 5 man motion is at least setting some off ball screens....
