I can't say what it means for us, but coppin gave uconn a pretty good game.

Idaho St lost to North Dakota by 16 after playing us. I don't know what that means either.

Probably that Coppin isn't as bad a team that they showed against us and that Idaho State probably isn't as good as they showed against us.

Pledger is our best all around player like it or not. And by far our best scorer consistently. Osby is good and will be a decent force for us but he's not what Pledger is to us.

It isn't what I like or don't like.

Let me state the obvious for you. Osby is a better defender at any position than Pledger. He is as good a ball handler as Pledger. He is as fast as Pledger, if not faster. He seems to be the top candidate for the leading rebounder on the team. And he can score.

Now, what is your definition of "all around player?"

Pledger has been great in the 2 games we played vs inferior talent. We'll see how he does against high caliber defenders.

Osby will do what he's done vs anybody. Same with Clark, Grooms & Newell IMO.

The offense you are running and how well you run it has a lot to do with consistentcy.

I certainly want Pledger to have a great season but I really hope you are wrong. I think he is way too slow. I hope Cam, Newell, Osby or Clark steps up to be OU's best player.

Given that we have only seen Osby against 2 teams, I would say that we have no more reason to believe he will be consistent than Pledger yet.

Still find it funny that people call pledger slow

Slow isn't the right word. He does seem to lack lateral quickness and that can hurt him defensively.

I've been pretty critical of Pledger. So, I watch him alot in practice. I guess to validate that I was right.

Defensivly, I think he has gotten much better with his lateral movement. He is not a quick guard now. But, he is staying in front of people better.

The weakness I see is when someone is coming straight at him. Blair, who knows him very, well can roll up, juke him, and blow right by. But, like I said, Blair knows him and has figured out how to get the best of him in spots.

Pledger and the others have to defend or they will lose minutes. Mayby that will be the difference maker. Last season they didn't have to.
