Forget to mention Will and I caught up with them briefly after one of their games this weekend.

Nothing ground breaking came out it, just normal post vist stuff.

"It was a good experience to play with some D-1 athletes. Andrew Fitzgerald was one of the top players there." - Jordan Woodard

"The facilites were nice, training room, film room. All nice, looked brand new." - Jordan

"We feel real comfortable around them (on the coaching staff). They got a nice philosophy and strategy. I like their style down there at OU." James Woodard

Jordan is currently hearing from OU, OSU, Baylor, Iowa, ORU, Vanderbilt and Northwestern.

James is currently hearing from Tulsa, Clemson, Missouri St, Wichita St, OU.

One random thing, a lot Oklahoma based AAU coach I have talked to recently have called Jordan Woodard the best player in the state. Not just in his class, in the state, saying they would take him over Nino Jackson.

Just some food for thought.

hmmm... could this be related to the tease you gave on twitter that fell thru???

No, that was something that I was told would happen by one source but it fell through, really disappointed about that.

This is just some info that I meant to have in the Cager but I forgot I had recorded this interview on my phone till after the Cager was posted.

I have had a couple people tell me the younger Woodard is the real deal and will be one of the top 5-10 players in the Country by the time he graduates. I haven't seen either of the Woodards play, Nino either, for that matter. But, the young woodard is really making an impression on some folks.

Jordan's stock has sky rocketed over the past two months with Athletes First.

I liked him a lot watching him with Memorial as a true point guard to run the offense but recently he's flashed the ability to take over games as a scorer. Something he didn't do much in high school. His jumper is still inconsistent as he was not hitting this past Sunday, but even when he's not scoring he finds ways to impact games.

He gets an ton of rebounds in traffic for a guy his size and often finds his way to the line. He also is a great passer, if he was a QB he would be the type who often leads his WR or throws the perfect pass in the traffic. Jordan is a smart heady player who looks to be just realizing his potential.

Another thing I've been told about Jordan that shocked me a little is that he won't turn 16 till this fall. He is a year ahead academically. When is he playing the EYBL and other big tournaments he's a 15 year old going up vs a 17 and 18 year olds.

I hate to tag a guy as a future top 5-10 player in the nation, but I think it will be hard press for anyone in 2013 to catch him in Oklahoma for the top spot. 2013 is a good class nationally and the elite players in it that I have seen are great players.
