But, he's getting tons of minutes out there, so you're tying one hand behind you back on offense.

A Senior needs to step up within percentage averages and his defense has been soft on the perimeter, only 2 rebounds.

This was not a good night for Cousins. But, if he had not come through with a great second half against ISU, we lose that game.

Pathetic is the only way to put it. OU lost by 3 even though he shot a percentage that would have sat him on the bench early, which put way too much pressure on others to shoot highly contested shots. KU basically left Cousins open, knowing he wasn't a threat tonight.

OU couldn't sit him because their bench isn't deep.

I agree that maybe we should have sit him more.. but rough nights happen and sometimes you gotta stick with your guys. Now get over it

What killed us more then his shooting was him not setting up the offense the in all three overtimes.
He was basically just there for defense the last 20 minutes. Woodard ran point a lot tonight late in the game and it bogged down our offense .

I though the difference in the game was us not scoring out of timeouts . We set up no offense and just kinda held the ball for bad shots .

I also thought Kruger screwed up not subbing buddy out on defense to give him a break

It's not a matter of him sitting. It's s matter of him realizing when it just isn't happening and him becoming a PG. he doesn't have to score. We have plenty of scoring. We need him to not f up!

If Kruger had taken your advice in the ISU game by sitting Cousins in the second half, OU would be 0-2 in conference play, with one of those losses at home. Isaiah struggles at times, but he has been mostly good the entire season.

Cousin shot doesn't have an arc to it. His form is good, he just need to give it a little bit more lift.

The truth is that the moment was too big for Cousins as it usually is for him. He's made so much progress throughout his tenure, but he'll never achieve that consistency that we need to be great.

What's his alternative on the bench? Sitting a starter for a large amount of minutes tends to have the starter focus on the little things that got them the starter's role in the first place.

Hield and Woodard more than made up the difference.

Shooting from the field wasn't the reason we lost.

I believe Hield and Woodward had less open shots because of Cousins.

Not to mention the change of possessions a 2 for 14 gives the opposing team.

Lon certainly could have sat him if he chose. He had Dinjyl sitting right next to him.

He played him because he's watched his last 80 games.

It just wasn't his night. I bet he plays really well on Saturday. Trust me, coming from someone who has experienced something similar ("slightly" lesser of a big moment obviously) no one feels worse than he does. He's a huge part of this team being #2 in the country and we need him to play well to win big games. Let's hope it just doesn't affect him mentally. He will be fine

It can only get better from 2 for 14.

I hope this allows someone like James to step up and get experience against lesser competition. James looks the part.
