Iowa State is my longshot pick. I really like the makeup of their team. Final prediction is that when OU and ISU play it will be the highest scoring game of the Big 12 season.

I will eat crow when they finish 6th, but for now I think they've got the best shot to knock off Kansas.

They might very well win the conference tourney and go farther in the tournament than the rest, but I feel like this is the year the streak ends.

Agreed. This is not the same KU team we have seen in the past. Self is a great coach. I'm just not sure he can perform a small miracle with the team he has to work with this season? It will be interesting to see what happens. But, for now, I don't think there is any doubt that OSU and ISU are a lot further along than the Jayhawks.

YEah I agree. Their big freshman has really improved. If Wiggins breaks out as expected KU will win the league again.

ISU is not a bad dark horse pick. Baylor could shock every body if they they played up to their potential.

KU looked good against Georgetown. They will win the league. They have the best Homecourt advantage. I think ISU might finish 2. OSU 3. Baylor 4. Texas 5 and us 6 if I had to pick today.

Agree.

KU really challenged themselves in the non conference by playing 4 ranked teams and they still have 1 to go. That will benefit them come long term.

I refuse to bet against KU at this point. I thought there was no way they'd win the league a couple of seasons ago, and they won it going away. I'm not a Self fan, and I've been hard on him in the past, but he has shown, IMO, remarkable improvement in his "coaching" in recent years. He'll have his guys ready and playing good ball.

ISU looks really good. OSU is the most athletic in the league but Ford may be the biggest obstacle. Baylor still has Drew the last time I checked. KU is solid now and has the best frontcourt in the league, but if they defend, they have got to find someone that can consistently hit an outside shot. KU's point guard play must also get much better.
