You’re right & all the sources who use the definition of EC & determine VC is one are wrong.
How do you argue against the 2 articles I posted Oh Wise One?
has there been evidence that shows it wasn't executed? I now the cops say they announced themselves but witnesses say they didn't hear anything.Per the AG of Kentucky, a "no-knock" warrant was approved, but not executed in this case. And this was corroborated by multiple independent sources.
Her death is a tragedy, but when officers are fired upon (including one officer hit), they are going to fire back.....and bad things are likely to follow. The boyfriend lit the fuse.
You can argue about the merits of the warrant, but Taylor was also named on this warrant. I don't know the entirety of evidence against the boyfriend or how it was collected, but I am hesitant to blame the cops on site....they were there to bring a suspect into custody and reacted in a manner in which they were trained.
Sucks all the way around for everyone involved.

Unless I misheard it, during the AG's press conference, he noted in his summary that they announced themselves before breaking down the door. He didn't go into great detail though outside of saying this was corroborated.
11 different witnesses contradicted the officer's story. I can't believe the city would have paid out $12 million to Breonna Taylor's family if they thought the officers acted correctly. But who knows?

Dude I"m a hardcore catholic. I know what the Papal conclave is, it isn't an electoral college lol
Cardinals aren't elected officials. And they don't represent people that elected them because they aren't elected. They do elect the Pope. WHich is why i made the comparison to the school board. the school board elects its leader as well. but the school board isn't an EC
Can somebody quickly summarize the situation for me? My knowledge is:
- Police obtain a legal warrant to search a house involved with illegal drug activity
- Police search said house
- Police get shot at
- Police fire back
What am I missing? Don't get me wrong, this is a ****ty situation, and I can't imagine the pain her loved ones experienced/are experiencing. But I don't see why this is the poster case for systemic racism.
This is an honest question. I'm not well-versed in this case, and I can't force myself to go through 10 pages of mostly uninformative bickering.
I don’t think it’s a case for systematic racism. I think it’s a case to further show how much police reform is needed.
I would agree with that. Not necessarily this abolishment/defunding thing.
I posted 2 articles. No they are not, they are appointed by the pope (I was wrong on that).
Electoral College - “a body of electors chosen or appointed by a larger group.” That’s exactly the Pope process.
The cardinals aren’t elected by a larger group. They are chosen by the pope
You literally quoted me saying that exact same thing.
Another definition: An electoral college is a set of electors who are selected to elect a candidate to particular offices. Often these represent different organizations, political parties, or entities, with each organization, political party or entity represented by a particular number of electors or with votes weighted in a particular way.
Both websites I read credit Germany and/or the Catholic Church as having the original EC.
