I'm glad Oklahomans had more sense than I gave them credit for. I'm making fun of it because Trump's team was bragging about how many tickets were reserved and preparing for a huge overflow crowd.

I don't want Trump in office, and I think it's embarrassing that he's what the Republican party selected. Yet somehow the Democratic party had a "hold my beer moment" by rolling out guys like Bernie and Biden. Biden's greatest strength is that he's part of some great memes. His entire campaign can essentially be summed up with three words -- "I'm not Trump."

Found out at lunch today that my uncle tried going last night, and 100% supported what is being said by others. There were some BLM folks that managed to get to the gates. They either didn't have tickets, or got turned away because of the BLM gear. Either way, they were being aggressive and blocking folks at the gate. Police and/or Secret Service managed to remove them peacefully, but it took some time. During that time, the event workers in charge of administering the temperature checks "left". Nobody could get in without the temperature check.

I'm not saying there were 10k people that didn't make it in, but there were probably 1-2k that didn't. Others (a friend of mine from HS) said the tickets didn't get sent to her phone until after 6pm, despite her "ordering them" days before. That in combination with the older crowd staying home (which they should) is what lead to the numbers. There were never as many folks (overflow) trying to attend as originally reported. That was either Trump's campaign drumming up talking points, OR there are strong rumors that non-Trump fans signed up for the tickets knowing they had no interest in going. Sounds like the campaign has some logistics to figure out before their next rally.

That said, unless you are calling myself or my uncle a liar, what I said happened this morning did in fact happen. My uncles is a Trump supporter, but he isn't going to lie about what he experienced.
