For those who don't remember Dashawn,She was part of the 2011 recruiting Class with KayKay, And Sharane then Transfered for an unknown reason.

Does anyone know the real reason why she left or have any insight?
Watched her Today on TV For LSU vs Texas A&M and she looked really good!
Still quick , nice jump shot, etc.
I have to admit she is a Great fit for LSU, especially the style and tempo they like to play. Just curious to see if anyone know why she Transfered out. She was one of my sooner favorites her freshman season here.
This would of been her senior season at OU if she would of stayed:confused:

She left because of a scandal. That's all I'm going to say about that.

I can remember something about her knowing she wouldn't start because she couldn't beat out Morgan.

When she transferred to JuCo here I went and watched a few games. I really enjoyed mwatching her play.

Thanks for clearing things up.

She was and is much better than Morgan. She probably just didn't like it in Norman.

I remember that she was extremely erratic and had only one or two games where she could hit a barn with either a shot of a pass. She didn't seem to be able to settle down. Sherri wanted her to be like Gabbi, but she really didn't seem to be a point. No control over passes.

I also remember her adding excitement and athleticism to our team. Something Hook did not. I remember her at times playing like a freshman and other times not. Turnovers? Name very many OU teams where that hasn't been a problem.

Harden was a turnover to the extreme. If you go back and look at her games, she started the season with 7-1-5-5-1-2-2-4 turnovers, as a reserve. When you have someone averaging 3.5 turnovers in limited minutes, you have to pay attention. It's not like her scoring was keeping us in the game.

If she had stuck around and settled down, maybe. But, she didn't.

My remembrance is somewhere between you two. I remember a video taped preseason conference between Coach and her two point guards. It was easy to read between the lines that Morgan's job was to teach the point guard of the future our system as fast as she could. However, as the season got underway, it soon became obvious that while Dashawn was very quick and energetic, she didn't have the court vision and decisiveness to run the offense. She might have been successful as a shoting guard, but she wasn't going to be the point in OU's motion offense.

About right. I remembered the same video as I wrote.

I agree with you. Yes, Harden had too many turnovers like most freshmen do. We know that Maddie has turnover issues as well. Here is a comparison of Harden's freshmen year to Maddie's current year using conference games:

Hardin averaged 12.6 minutes per game, had 26 assists, 33 TO's for a 0.788 a/to ratio.

Maddie averaged 15.4 minutes per game, had 18 assists, 32 turnovers for a 0.563 a/to ratio.

I thought if Harden would have stayed at OU she would have improved and been a productive player. Hopefully, Maddie will improve in that area as well.
