Morning all!

I'm curious to know what you think Forsythe's ceiling is? It sure was fun to watch him ignite against Ole Miss.

On an NCAA caliber team, I think his ceiling is a solid 4th or 5th guard (similar to Duke Miles), maybe a fringe starter as an upperclassman. He's a better athlete than I realized and he's very crafty and smart. He also makes his share of winning/hustle plays and busts his tail out there. Absolutely clutch from the FT line. I think just enough lateral quickness and desire to not be atrocious on D, but will be a liability at times. I think his maximum contribution on an NCAA Tournament team is 8-10 ppg playing 22-25 minutes, and for a kid from small town Oklahoma playing high major D1 ball, that's pretty dang awesome. I wish I could average 10 in my rec league lol.

Can he end up being anything close to a Pedulla?? I dunno…possibly? I love having him, and it will be interesting to see what kind of player he ends up being.

I think he’ll be better than Miles & Pedulla. Probably won’t have as good of stats as Pedulla, but he’s a better defender & tougher. I think he can be a solid starter on a tournament team.

Just cause he's from small town Oklahoma doesn't mean the kid can't play, Forsythe's ceiling is a helluva lot higher then 8-10 ppg, he can be a starting quality G in the SEC if he keeps improving his game. He reminds me a lot of Payton Pritchard and I don't think that's hyperbole, he can shoot the lights out.

I think 10ppg next year. He’s a leader. Makes players around him better. Needs the reigns let loose a little.

I think that is a tremendous comp. Hard not to be excited after his freshman year. He is a winner and is highly skilled on offense. His defense needs to keep improving.

Is OU recruiting his brother?

No. Not yet. He’s got a few small d1 offers

JMO, but I don't think Pedulla is as good as Payton Pritchard was at Oregon. I see dayton as more similar to Payton than Pedulla. All 3 are good players. I really like dayton's upside. Payton and Dayton are both way better athletes and players than most assume or think -- IMO. My hope is that this season gave Dayton the confidence that he can play in the SEC, that he has a really productive off season, and is a key player for us next year. Big fan of both Dayton and Denton, his brother. Winning players if you ask me.

I like the Payton Pritchard comparison. Strong lead guards for 6'2, junkyard dogs, great shooters, good and willing passers, etc. Will be interesting to see if Dayton can defend effectively over the long haul when given more minutes.
