and CP3 has still never been past the 2nd round
this ..
I think we will have to see if that holds true. Clippers were tied for 2nd best record in the West and should have been in the finals. Will see if they are 5 seed or lower.
The west just gets better and better. Should be fun to watch.
what finals ... they lost in the second round .....
The Thunder being better than the clippers comes down to Kevin Durant's foot. If he still has issues next season then the Thunder will be fighting for an 8 seed again.
I don't think so. I think you could take the current team and shoot for a divison title realistically and get a 4 seed.
You have to remember that it wasn't just KD last year. pretty much every player was hurt at one point or another.
You still have:
RW
Morrow
Waiters
SErge
Kanter
Still a playoff team
I can't believe you guys are trashing CP3.
They rated him much higher when he was playing in OKC, I'm guessing.
That's not a 4-seed in the West. They'll probably be right around a 4 seed even with a healthy Durant.
I take the Clips loss to the Rockets with a grain of salt .... and I live in Houston. Nobody wanted anything to do with the Spurs in the playoffs. They won something like 19 of 21 games at the end of the season and were on a roll. The Clips beat the Spurs in a grueling 7 game series with no bench, whereas the Rockets had a pretty easy series against the Mavs. I think the Clips simply played too many minutes and got worn down when they played the Rockets. Honestly, I think the Clips are a better team.
Also, I don't automatically think the Thunder or Rockets are better than the Clips. GS are the champs, but they're small. San Antonio has really improved with Aldridge and West, but I think the Clips really improved their bench by adding Paul Pierce (replaces Matt Barnes as a starter), Lance Stephenson (blew in LeBron's ear), and Wesley Johnson (started for Lakers).
I can't believe you guys are trashing CP3. Many rate him as the top PG in the NBA. He is absolutely the best defensive PG in the league ..... without question. NBA Point Guards
You win your division, you get a top four seed
There is a real chance that rule isn't a rule next year. Seeding 1-8 by record and regardless of divisions.
Then why even have divisions? Just play everyone in your conference an equal amount of times.
Spurs thunder gsw and Houston before clippers.
Memphis is in the mix there too. They finished 1 game behind the clips last year and have a better playoff track record in recent years.
