Deep breath in and exhale. Now...

We lost on the road to a mid major because we have only slightly better than mid major talent and mediocre coaching.

Same old Sooners under Kruger.

not a mid major ... have above average talent and very good coaching

We will all feel a lot better when Woodard has a good game...he has struggled so far but it is only a 2 game sample size.

On the bright side the Thomas we see in game 5 is likely going to be a lot different player then he is in game 2. We need to run a lot more of our offense through him in the half court - I'll give Lon a pass because he didn't even know that we would have him until this past Friday but this NEEDS to happen.

Yeah at this stage I see no improvement with Jordan. I think he will always be a liability defensively, but I'd love for him to be a better pass first leader of the offense. We really needed that last night and he didn't give it to us. Had as many turnovers as assists and shot bad.

He needs to pick it up on the offensive board side of things. In 55 minutes of game time he has registered 1 offensive rebound.

I agree that our offensive execution was poor down the stretch...and I'm going to have a rant post about that tomorrow.:ez-laugh: (i.e we fall in love with the 3 waaay too much and play too much one-on-one etc.)

However, I don't expect us to have to score 70-80 points consistently to win a game on the road...because that is going to be difficult in alot of environments for us to do that. Scoring is tough on the road, thus our defense can't have 7 minute lulls where we get outscored by 18. Part of that is offense yes, but at one point, Creighton scored on 8 or 9 straight possessions. That is unacceptable. But you're right....there were issues on both ends of the court.

While still being early in the season, the team has a combined shooting percentage after two games of 37.2, which ranks 279th in the college ranks. Also, the scoring average per game stands at 171st overall. While we've had defensive woes in the past we need to start lighting it up more from the offensive side.

This team, so far, looks like they just haven't played together enough. Guys are getting a bit lost in space and don't seem to move confidently. I think all that will change as Thomas settles in and the other starters become comfortable with him.

This to me is what the problem is. Waiting so long on the waiver and not knowing what they were going to have has put them behind. They have to figure how to play together.
