Defense

Everyone knows that our defense has not been particularly good this year, especially our zone. I thought we played the best defense when we used a 1/2 or 3/4 trap. When we hustle like that on defense, I believe we hustled more on the offensive end as well. If we use the trap in the tourney, I think we have a decent chance of making the Sweet Sixteen.

We've had some of the best defensive performances I've seen in 10 years this year. But we've also had some of the worst. If we defend like we did at Baylor, OK.

If we defend like we did at home against Kansas, I'm going to be pissed off.

The ncaa tourney is the setting where defense takes on additional signifigance. If we can get stops we can go a long way. This team has been very erratic on both ends of the floor. I hope they spend the time off before the tournament working on defense mostly. I wish Sherri could enforce a rule that no one could dribble more than 4 times before passing and if no one shows up to help, they sit.
