DJD is a name that has gained the experience to bring something new to the Sooners from both a defensive and a different recruiting perspective should Sherri ever consider a coaching staff change. She has knowledge of the Secretary of Defense Vic Schaefer's scheme and also his ability to turn around a program in his second year to 22, 27, 28 and 31 and possibly more wins this year and to a top 10-15 program.

Thanks for posting this. I had no idea she was coaching there. Texas A&M seems to have slipped a little bit since Schaeffer left.

No question that Gary Blair has not been quite as successful in the SEC as he was in the Big 12. Blair has finished 6th, T2nd, 6th, 3rd and 5th the last 5 years in the SEC which corresponds with when Schaefer became the head coach at MSU in 2012-13.

Blair's last 5 years in the Big 12 all with Schaefer as an assistant he finished 2nd, 2nd, 4th, 3rd and 3rd. Schaefer's 5 years at MSU he has finished 2nd, T2nd, 3rd, 13th and 11th. He did win 22 games in his second year while finishing 13th in the conference. Schaefer has been more successful in the SEC than has Blair after turning around the MSU program in year 3.

Blair won the national championship in 2010-2011 but he did not win the Big 12 regular season championship or the Big 12 tournament championship that year. Baylor won both. Blair's only conference championships were a first place tie with the Sooners in the regular season and Big 12 tournament championships in 2008 and 2010.

Looks like she would be a good hire if she would think of coming here. I say put all the current coaches name in a hat pull one name, say goodbye. Offer her about 450k take the money from Sherri then see how it goes with her on the staff..Give her oh say 7 years contract

I think it has more to do with the move from the Big 12 to the SEC... now the top kids in texas are picking between Baylor and Texas, maybe some feel playing in the SEC they don't get to see any many family and friends during road games . He should headed back on the right path it a guard like Chennedy Carter tho.

If you want her that badly, how about 225K from Sherri and $225 from you? :)

Another former Sooner, Britney Brown is at TCU. She is assistant coach/recruiting coordinator. This is her first year there. She had the same title last year at Nebraska, but Connie Yori got fired and Brown was looking for a job. Hwer previous 4 years were at Tulsa University. Worked under Matilda Mossman, Yori, and now Pebley. Learned other systems besides what she learned at OU.

AOlajuwon is an assistant at EMU (previously at Cal St. Fullerton) with Fred Castro. His bio states he has held several positions with OU WBB and an OU aviation grad.

It is interesting how many coaches Sherri is producing in WBB. That says a lot about her program, teaching skills, personality, knowledge, and intelligence.

Unless the Oklahoman and Miss St. website are wrong, her name is Jackson-Durrett.
