He has stopped showing up in some box scores on NJCAA. Not sure if injury or some sort of academic misconduct...
Yeah, I'd really like to find somebody who can just shoot 40% from 3. Don't care if he can do much else. I'd settle for a Keiton Page-type that can give us 15-20 minutes a game of just spotting up on the perimeter.

If in fact Henry is coming, and if we're out on Randle, I hope we go after a JUCO scoring guard. I don't care if the kid can defend. I don't care if he is 6 foot and looks like he is 14. If he can shoot it and/or score it, we can find him some playing time.
I would suggest that Boulder and MNSooner are mistaken. Kruger starts Pledger. He is not a particularly good defender and is primarily a shooter. I think Kruger would gladly offer a kid he thought could knock down 40% of his 3 point shots in a game situation or even 35%. In fact, I think any descent coach would offer that kid. If nothing more the player gives you a solid option to bring off the bench for key situations such as being behind and needing 3 point shooting, facing a zone you can't score on, last plays at the end of both halfs, etc. 40% 3 point shooting is huge. Very few kids can do it in a game situation.
Coaches routinely offer guys that have little to offer other than defense and rebounding. Why would an exceptoinal offensive talent be any different?
Where is Kruger going to go to get that 40% shooter? They don't stock them at Walmart. Pledger is playing because he is one of few viable offensive options this season AND he has improved his effort and skills to be a marginally acceptable defender along side some solid defenders. If another offensive option had emerged or if that improvement hadn't occured, Pledger would have been on the pine.
When Kruger says if they don't defend, they don't play. He means it. Don't confuse what Kruger has been doing the last two seasons with players he fell heir to with how he goes forward with players he picks.
You are off your Rocker again... He plays because he is a good Big 12 Player!
Your talent evaulation system sucks!
How does Pledger not play for...?
KU
Baylor
ISU
Tech
Texas
OSU
TCU
KSU
WVU
Doesn't just about every team have a guard that averages 10/11 points a game. And that is what Pledger is in the context of a competent relativly complete team. What makes our guard the special one?
Next season will have another guard that averages 10/11 pts. and they will be a more complete player than Pledger.
I was trying to be nice and give the kid credit for stepping up. I can asuure you of this. Pledger starting this season was not a forgone conclusion in anyone's mind and and specifically in Pledger's.
Kruger laid out the steps he needed to take during the offseason to continue in his previous role and for the most part he has done it. And he deserves some credit for that. It didn't hurt his opportunity that Cousins and Hornbeak haven't come as far and fast as Buddy.
I'm glad Pledger has transformed himself into a usefull contributor. But, I'm not in the fan club. So, save your insults for someone that cares and your worship service for someone that might be converted.
Buddy was better out of high school by far, more so than JHorn and cousins. You still didnt answer my question, which team would Pledge not play for in the Big 12?
We all know you hate Pledge, but he more than just a throw-in player to our team and would be for a lot of teams.
