May I ask a question?

Is Dungee transferring because she doesn't want to work for her position? Anyone going to college to play ball must figure they need to earn their spot, does she think she should be given the spot without work?

I may be wrong, but I do not think anyone on here knows for sure why she is transferring. If they do, they are not saying.

True. She chaged schools 5 times from the 8th grade to HS graduation. Still, it is a shock to me.

I'll never forget the news story of Chelsea and her parents following the OSU plane crash. She'd committed to OSU as an 8th grader and they wanted everyone to know they were "now more than ever" intent on honoring the commitment made to those coaches.

Of course we know how that turned out.

I understand that 8th grade is really young to make such a commitment. I also understand that was a situation no one expected. But why not just say, "We're shocked and saddened. We're still processing the situation." Or, better yet, say nothing at all.

The funny thing is the video was uploaded to YouTube in 2012, but the audio was cut as soon as the part about her everlasting commitment begins.

I was surprised she remained committed to OU until signing day. I'm not surprised she is transferring after one season. I wish she would've stayed and had a successful career as a Sooner. But I guess it wasn't meant to be.

I got killed on this board last year for saying she wasn't that good of player. Basketball people in Tulsa area couldn't figure out why OU took her. She was good when she was at a small school but not that good at Sapulpa.

I don't know all the reasons but she went to like five schools in six years, I know they had a house fire, sadly, that caused one move/

But it always seemed she was leveraging her basketball ability to go to different schools, the grass is always greener somewhere else, etc.

I don't know any inside info, it just seemed a red flag.

Sapulpa must have been WONDERFUL then. She was good enough on the court last year for the overwhelming majority of the fans to believe she had a bright future.

They posted this on the website may 3rd, not sure something you would see if the player was going to transfer...

I admit I was a little hard on Wilson and thought Dungee was the better player coming out of high school, I would take a Wilson for Dungee exchange in a heartbeat...

I don't believe so, I looked at a few kids who were ranked coming out of high school from Oklahoma and Sherri didn't offer them, it's possible they play for smaller schools or it could be the area...
