Dunk??

I asked this in a thread but i dont think anyone saw it...

Has anyone on our team had a dunk this year?

Seems very odd at this level that i havent seen one...

I have seen several missed attempts at alley-oops to Clark, but that is about it other than one drive Pledger had in the Texas Southern game where i thought he was going to throw it down but he layed it in...

Yeah. It goes with the theme of lack of athleticism. Don't think we have a guy that can dunk in traffic.

Neal - yes
Puma - yes
Fitzgerald - yes (I think)
Thompson - no, but he did dunk one at Arky after the play was over, so there is hope.
Clark - not yet
Washington - not yet
Pledger - not likely
Cade - hasn't dunked since exhibition games, freshman year. I bet he gets one this year.
Newell - can do it, and if it happens will be pretty exciting. But may not happen.
Blair - not possible
Hardrick - 6'7 and I honestly don't think he can dunk anymore. He has no lift at all.

Osby - hope we see a BUNCH of them the next two years.

Clark seems athletic enough to be a decent dunker. Does anyone think they'll ever see Fitz throw one down?

I thought Neal's dunk was somewhat impressive, took me by surprise.

Fitz dunked one in Maui, it wasn't impressive.

They all can dunk. But can they do it in the course of a games. We don't have a guy strong enough to challenge in the lane, and we don't have enough defensive pressure for a run out dunk.

The same happened to the 2002-2003 (Elite 8) season also... Only remember that team dunking maybe a handful of times, at most.

Except that team and this team are obviously quite different....
