Not sure if this has been posted on this site. Pretty decent video breakdown of the situation. Hopefully we will get a good fit for OU. But for Capel this probably happened at a great time for him since Sidney Lowe just stepped down at North Carolina State and Paul Hewitt was fired at Georgia Tech.

It would be great for him to get NC State. Right in his home back yard. A tough conference to compete in though. Just like the Big 12.

Capel would probably cry from joy if he got the NC State job. Wouldn't have surprised me if we didn't fire him that he left to take that job anyway.

I agree with them. I think this could be a win-win situation for both parties. Capel could probably do a lot better back East with recruiting and hopefully OU can find someone who can put us back on the map. For whatever reason Capel and OU was just not a good fit. Hiring a coach is a crapshoot. You just never know.
