My son lives in Texas with his mom and he is a big OU fan. That's how he was raise, to only think sooner red. He's 6' 9" and avg 24pts a game as a soph. He has already recieved over 30 letters from Duke, NC, Tex, U-Con, etc. And yes OU. But after seeing how most of you have gone after TMG, Tiny and WW he has drop OU from one on his list to third. People, recruits do read these boards.

Tell your son to go to class, be a team player, and not drop out of school to play ball in Europe because he's lazy.

I question the legitimacy of the OP, but I'll also add that if there is a kid who chooses not to go to OU because he fears the criticism he might receive from anonymous fanatics on a message board, then he's the kind of mentally weak player we don't need.

This stuff happens on EVERY message board. I don't agree with tearing up a player or a recruit but that's just my opinion. Acting like it's exclusive to OU boards is ridiculous.

Does he read Duke, NC, Texas, UCONN boards as well?

If your son is as big of a fan as you says he is, then he should be excited about coming to OU and helping turn the program around. Not dropping them down on his list because of one losing season and fans, who aren't used to losing seasons, being upset about it. Blake Griffin still came here the year after we missed the NIT and things seemed to work out well for him.

if you pull THIS leg I play Jingle Bells

most of us don't get on here and talk bad about our current players. there's always a few bad fans at every school. at the same time, everyone around here is just frustrated with the season we had. venting is the only way for some of these guys to cope with it.

This stuff goes on everywere....Wouldnt you rather the fans be upset when we have a huge loosing record?? Absolutely.

I'm going to call BS on this.

But I would agree with the other posters. If this were a real kid all he would have to do is act like Blake Griffin, Taylor Griffin, Cade Davis, Hollis Price, Eduardo Najera, Beau Gerber, Wayman Tisdale, Michael Neal, Nate Carter, Longar Longar, etc etc and he wouldn't get ripped by people on message boards.

If your kid acts like TMG and says the things he said, he deserves it. Thats what message boards are for. For fans to express their opinions, good or bad.

Fixed it for you.

If somebody only focuses on the negatives, they are just looking for a reason to go elsewhere. When players act like they don't give a damn about a team or the university, fans and alums will tend to be upset with them.

Disagree...Peters' Dad lives in Plano, not Oklahoma. His father owns a very profitable software company in the North Dallas area. His children have been going to PCA for years.
The Dad did not say he lived in Oklahoma. He didn't say where he lived only that his son lived with his Mother in Texas.
