Fears & the NBA Draft Projections

Shows you how much I know, I would draft the kids in this order: Fears, Oweh, Moore and then Uzan. (I am conflicted on whether Oweh or Moore will be the better professional player -- could go either way).

Ranking them as college players, I would put them in this order: Fears, Uzan, Moore, and then Oweh. All of those young men are good basketball players.

I just don't see how uzan is that high
He has the prototypical size for his position, he can guard multiple positions well in the NBA, he is a very good passer and simultaneously very good at protecting the ball, and lastly he's developed into a good shooter. He projects to be a pretty decent role player if he rounds out his game. It makes total sense to me. Oweh is a freak athlete but really rough around the edges skill wise. He doesn't offer much offensively at the NBA level.

yeah...uzan has skills. oweh is an athlete.
you could see it from the day they first stepped on the court in norman.

Maybe he will be an ok role player...I just doubt it.
Anytime I watch him I am underwhelmed. Doesn't look an nba level guard to me

Fears may be drafted before we have another football player drafted. God it’s amazing that the talent has gone downhill to this extent under Brent. We’ve gone from regularly producing multiple first rounders to having two guys picked on Saturday and nothing else.

It is embarrassing… but to be completely fair, this years guys are still Lincoln’s recruiting classes.

Next year we should have RMT, RSJ, Jadyn Ott, Damonic, Burks, Dolby, and Halton definitely drafted barring injury.

The “maybe drafted” guys will be Mateer, Sexton, Marvin Jones Jr, Kendall Daniels, Gentry Williams, and Troy Everett.

Wayyy more draftable talent on next years team.

He has had three years to recruit in the portal era! Rosters turn over every year. There is no way this can be pinned on Riley. And at this point, I’ll believe it when I see it with next year’s team. I don’t see some of those guys as NFL players, and a lot of the others can’t stay healthy.

Saddest part is seeing Gabriel drafted this early and thinking again about how badly Brent screwed that up.

In the portal era, there’s no excuse to have this little draftable talent in any class.

I remember just three drafts ago laughing at Texas for literally having ZERO draft picks...got a little egg on my face for laughing at them now. We SHOULD get two guys drafted in Round 4 (Stutsman and Bowman), but I'm not sure anyone else will get picked. I have to agree with Wichita in that this scenario is unacceptable...and no, we cannot blame Lincoln Riley for this. Sadly, this reminds me of the drafts between 1989 - 2001...most of them were painful to watch. In 1992, we did have 11 guys drafted, but none before Round 5. Also, from 1989 - 2001, we only had two 1st round picks and two 2nd round picks (I believe)...that was a pitiful run and we matched those results on the field until Bob Stoops took over. We only had a few guys drafted in 2002 as the Stoops era was in its infancy, but the headliner was Roy Williams. OU has had their best NFL run since that time.

Sooooo fears is good. I think the nets are good landing spot
Yeah, I know ESPN has him now rated at #5, but based on team needs and who will be there at 5, I can't imagine the Pelicans not picking Harper or Johnson if they are still there. If the Sixers keep their pick, I don't see them picking him based on Maxey, so it falls to the next pick. Of course, this is all dependent on where the ping pong balls fall.

Gotta believe he would get picked by one of the next three- Nets, Raptors, or Spurs. And certainly wouldn't get past the Mavericks or Bulls. He'll be a top 10 or 11 pick.

My apologies for my prior post...while I don't take anything back, I picked the wrong thread to post that. This is about Fears and the NBA. My bad.

Like the NFL Draft, I will be watching the NBA Draft closely. I'm genuinely happy to read that Fears is moving up the Draft Boards. I also believe that playing at OU this past year where there were so many guys 3-4 years older than him, will help him as a rookie. He's not going to arrive in the NBA thinking he already knows it all. I'm betting he did a lot of listening this past season. By all accounts, he seemed to be a great teammate. He has a lot of work to do as a shooter, but there's no reason to think he won't get better. Many of the top draft picks are accompanied by their head coach...hope Moser is at the Draft to support him.

Nets or raps to me.

Spurs have fox, I’ll think they’ll look for help in other areas
