Yes, I don't see how Willis is ranked ahead of TJ. TJ really got a raw deal by missing most of the AAU season with that ankle injury.

I was surprised to see Javarez Willis get all the way to #74... He is a great 3pt shooter, and from what I have read is in the Rotnei Clarke/Keiton Page realm in terms of shooting ability... But TJ seems like a very complete player with a bright future.

I actually think the ranking is fairly indicative of his body of work in his senior year (which is where the final rankings come from). Remember, he is not close to where he was prior to the injury in explosiveness or aggressiveness (though as the year wore on, he showed positive signs).

Where the ranking is NOT reflective of TJ, is in his potential. Here, I'm not referring to potential in the normal vein. More so, I'm referring to potential to get back to where an athlete was prior to a setback (such as injury or forced time off like suspension or lack of grades, etc). Had TJ not been hurt and subsequently suffered a loss in explosion and aggressiveness, I have no doubt he's a top 30-50 talent.

That's great news for us! On top of all the physical attributes, he's oozing with intangibles. He's mentally and physically tough, he's competitive, and he's driven.

Ultimately, I believe we'll look back on those rankings and laugh about where his game ultimately evolved to, compared to where his ranking was following his senior year of HS...
