Fire Porter Moser

No source, just going by On3's NIL evaluation for the top stars. If AJ Dybantsa is $4M, JT Toppin $2.8M, Cameron Boozer $2.3M...here is how I think our guys should fall in line with those evaluations. On3 will still have industry accurate ranges for NIL evaluations even though it may not be the exact number.
So use those numbers and tell me how Kentucky and others spent that much?

I don't pay for On3, can only see the top 10 athletes. If someone does, they should be able to see the a lot more than I can.

The $22M number for Kentucky is direct from Kentucky people (Dick Vitale calls out moral victories and Kentucky’s NIL spending). They chose to publicize this. They outbid normal valuations and overpaid for this roster.
And Pope has done an avg job coaching this team. I mean they have that AA player that Porter couldn’t develop, right?

I mean they’re paying Garrison a $1MM+ to give them 15 mpg and 4pt and 4 reb. 🤷‍♂️. How much is our back-up post making?
I was disappointed we lost out on Garrison twice, but he’s been a bust. A role player that hasn’t made much difference. Kentucky has overpaid for the wrong players and their coach is not a big league guy either.

OU has full sec payout this year and going forward.

My understanding is that we won't have seen much of that money at that time we'd be needing it for Moser firing, and that we're down over 100M when counting Big 12 buyout and almost no SEC payment.

I don't believe they were down that much ..

It's still hard to make the math work.

The top KY player on that "valuation" is listed at $1.6M.

Say every starter makes $1.6M. Say they have a full roster of 15 scholarship players, the max allowed this season.

Say every backup makes $1M.

That totals $18M.

If you are going to use On3, then you have to believe nobody on their roster is making over about $1.6M. If that is true, their 5 starters aren't likely all making that. I doubt all 10 bench guys are making $1M.

I don't care what number(s) KY released. Or, if you believe KY, then you have to say the On3 numbers are WAY off. If they got close to that number it's likely tied up in 1-2 players getting a bunch more then they should have, not some massive over-paying of all 15 players.

Some schools could have reported operating costs related to NIL in that. They could have reported costs associated with administration of NIL, maybe even part of the coach's salary.

I really don't believe anything I read on NIL numbers.

ESPN gave us supplemental payments. We did receive some pay from the SEC.

Not sure why you don't think we'd have money when we'd need it to pay Moser. First, they have the cash to pay it in full now if they wanted. But it would be paid over a couple of years. We're in a fiscal year that will see us getting full payment from the SEC.

We were never down $100 million. We took a hit but it was offset by receiving partial shares in the SEC. Regardless, we have the money to fire moser and hire a new staff. NIL is the wildcard.
