Fire Porter Moser

I’ll go on record he won’t be fired.. even if we don’t make the tourney. Which I totally hate…

Reasons stated several times. Guess we’ll find out by Sunday night.

A win tomorrow would 3 20 win seasons in a row. Since Kelvin left, outside of multi-year generational talents (Buddy, Blake), we'd only had one 20 win season.

Now we had 9 in a row at the time Kelvin left, so that stat is perhaps more depressing than hopeful.

I’ve teetered back. I want them to get him more money to work with in the offseason. They showed what they can do this year in the portal. Get him a legit big. Keep everyone we need to keep. And let’s see what one more year has in store.

He loves his team. I think he genuinely loves OU. If not, he has a great poker face. And I don’t think he has a poker face.

I've never questioned the effort or his character, which has never been more apparent than this late season run. He just needs to win more games.

Part of that is that we have a Miami OH's non-conference style slate tho

You're crazy. And it is thankfully definitely not going to happen so its moot..

It's a results-oriented business and he has come up short too often. He seems like a good dude who is trying....I've never questioned that, but wins/losses over his tenure matter.

There’s something to be said that the team never totally fell apart and is playing harder than ever. The ability to hold the team together after that losing streak is nothing to take for granted. And yet, those were some bad losses.

It seems like it would be tough to fire him after the way this season is ending as one of the hottest teams in country.

Yup...that was Osby and Pledger's team...and M'baye was the third best player. I believe Hornbeak started more games than Buddy that year (they were both freshmen). Regardless, 20 wins sounds nice right about now...and would lock us in to the Dance.

Here's an excruciating thought for some. What if we lose tomorrow, don't make it to the Dance AND Moser keeps his job. Is that scenario plausible?

To be fair that means we won 20 games in 46% of the Kruger and Capel years. Moser won’t be fired, but it’s not going to be because we ignored 6 of the past 20 seasons to make a point.
