Fire Porter Moser

You literally personally DMed me this October and said 150k, so which is it? He isn't worth 250k

And i didn't believe that number either. Prolly more like 120-130 imo. You trying to get him some more money? Lol
I would love for him to get more money. I am a fan. It is $250k

Just fricking nutz… IMHO
UK basketball generates like 50 mil a year .. OU football generates well over 100 million a year ..

the reason the powers that be don't want the players to be employees with a CBA is that the player would make WAY more then they do now .. and it would all come out of the schools budget ..

Make of this what you will, and I admit I have no idea how this metric works. It is kind of evident that Sister Jean (RIP) put a curse on PM

Porter Moser LUCK Ranking:
2021: 277
2022: 205
2023: 162
2024: 75
2025: 210

2017 (final 4): #2
2020 (sweet 16): 129

just listened to Denny's interview on Kref with Dari...good insight...only 6 out of the 21 sports OU competes in rank in the top half in spending in the SEC. Hence his underdog statement.. But he did acknowledge while in the Big 12 OU would have had more teams ranked higher in terms of spending but now being in the SEC it's a different animal. everyone should go and listen to it.

of course there is also a matter of degrees .. are they 10th and 10% behind 5th or 15th and 100% behind 8th .

The SEC is insane. I'm glad we're in it, but it's big boy college athletics. We're still adjusting.

except we are not .
I agree. We have the financials; it's just we've never had the commitment, priorities, or urgency to place and align them the way SEC schools do.

Two prime examples are the number of assistants and recruiting budgets (aka today's GMs, recruiting coordinators and staff) and other ways SEC schools support athletics. Just looking at facilities shows the gap, but look at the staffs on SEC schools and it becomes apparent we have a big gap to make up in the major sports.

It's a different animal, and our AD (emeritus) did a poor job in preparation.

So you lied previously? Or didn't know? Explain the contradiction

There's no way bench players are getting that much unless they are a 5.
Brother, I am sorry if my former associate gave me outdated information. Not that deep and I can only control what I can control

we're out of our league....financially
This is not true. Our problem is not financial as much as it is administrative. We have mismanaged the AD and our resources for 20 years. We have money and donors that can put us on even footing with most everyone except a few. We can compete and win we just have to be smart about how we deploy the resources. We can’t waste millions like texas always does or aTm does but we can compete with those schools when we spend money wisely.

Our admin has been very slow to adapt to the new environment and they’ve spent decades overreacting to ncaa rules while handicapping the AD. Those days are over.
