First 20 loss season in school history

I am having a hard time comprehending that. From Final Four to an abortion of a season in 1 year.

We all expected to take a step back this season, but no one expected this. The close losses just snowballed and we never recovered. We could have easily won 10 of the games we lost this year. Despite this catastrophe of a season, our future is really bright. The next two seasons are going to be really fun.

Yep. I really hope they bring in a transfer big, or any kind of competent big. Of course everyone will improve but Young can only do so much. I was hoping for at least a win against the 8th place team but not only lost but got blown out in embarrassing fashion. Color me worried. Every player on the team better be going Buddy Hield in terms of working on their game in the offseason. No excuses next year, put up or shutup.

20 losses stinks. But for it to be our first 20 loss season....says something about OU basketball.

You have to put it in perspective though. I know...a loss is a loss...but of our 20 losses...most were very close games. It's different than getting blown out EVERY game. Of our 20 losses, 10 of those were by 6 or less points.

I'm not in to moral victories..but I'm trying to keep this season in perspective. I think we win 20+ games next year. I can't wait until November!!!!!!!!!

Just a guess but I would say he's mentally weak. I could be wrong. Maybe he's not as good as he looked late last season with Buddy, Cousins, etc. I'm also guessing he's not as bad as he looked this season too.

If you can feel "happy", "glad", "appreciative", or any other feeling from Sooner basketball, I can certainly feel embarrassed from what is arguably our program's worst season ever.

For the record, I don't have a problem with posters who express their views when a season goes south. I do have a problem with someone like sooner8693 who was strangely silent during our final four run, only to have a lot to say during the worst season in OU history.

I asked for an explanation sometime ago when I questioned if he is a troll, but never got one. Maybe he has a legitimate reason for waiting until now to post. If so, I would like to hear it.

Just because a person doesn't have a large number of posts like you and some of the other omnipotent people on here automatically makes them a troll. LOL. I do not need to give you or anyone else an explanation. If you don't like what I or anyone else posts, don't read them. I followed this board for years and frankly was very reluctant to post, because I saw you and others discredit many people who don't fall into the same category as you all, SUNSHINE PUMPERS. Anyone who has a different opinion as you is not a Sooner fan. As I recall, when I first posted on this site last year with information about Jessica Murcer, I was welcomed with open arms and asked to post with information about such on a regular basis. If you don't want anyone who doesn't think or believe like you, you should make that clear up front. That is what Joseph Goebbels and the German boys were good at.
I have posted numerous positive things about OU, but as usual, people like you with an agenda, tend to have selective memory. So, to others that did not join at the appropriate time or have the required number of posts to be taken seriously, you will be labeled as a troll and what you have to say and you opinion are worthless.

All types of posters are welcomed here. But surely you can see why some get called out for trolling when their only posts are negative in nature. Have a pessimistic viewpoint is fine. But there are several new posters here that only post after a loss. They only complain, they only offer unfair criticism. OUhoops has done a good job of being a great board but been relatively low key. Not having to deal with many trolls or "fans" with football mindsets.

It's nothing personal, and maybe you do have a legit reason for seemingly only posting during the bad spells, if so I apologize for calling you out. but we've seen an abundance of annoying bandwagon bball fans here lately. Fans that didn't post at all last season until we got blown out in the final four

My record as someone who has always supported a poster's right to an opinion speaks for itself, and that includes posters from other schools.

You're right, you don't owe me an explanation for why you didn't have anything to say when OU went to the Final Four last year but suddenly found your voice this season.

I don't have a selective memory, I read your posting history. I also stand by what I said. You posted on the women's forum last year, not on the men's board when OU was in the middle of a Final Four run. I doubt if I'm the only one who finds that rather odd for someone who claims to be an OU fan.

If I'm wrong, I'll gladly admit it and apologize for calling you on the carpet for your constant negativity. It's not easy to find something positive to say in a season like the one just ended. But, it's there if you look hard enough.
