For those able to go to practice:

Can Spangler hit the 3? Both Osby and M'Baye have been able to just enough to keep the defense honest. I doubt Bennett can from what you have said about him, but you never know.

Again, thanks for the info.

I have seen no evidence that Spangler has that kind of range.

Spangler has a nice jump shot but a lot of his offense is going to come around basket. Very strong but he will have to work for his points. M'baye will become the focus of our big scoring with Spangler playing off him like Gary suggested.

Just look at our first game vs KU and the only reason that game wasn't closer (or maybe an OU win) was Withey's impact on defense. He made some plays on offense, but he really changed the game on defense.

I wonder how Bennett compares to a Larry Turner or Jabhari Brown? Gary, can you or KBaden comment?

Gary, one more thing, you think Spangler will replace Osby, or you said that above. Why wouldn't M'Baye replace him since their games are a little similar? Then Bennett at the 5 with Spangler able to play both positions to give both Amath and Bennett a breather?

Thanks for the info.

He is built more like Jabhari. Another comparison I thought of is Larry Sanders who played at ORU. Similar bodies. I don't want to hype him too much and he has some work to do for next season but I like him.

The coaches have been pleasantly surprised by Bennet's improvement on the offensive end. He is going to help next year. They also love Spangler for his toughness.

I think both of these guys are really going to give us a much better presence on the boards. Looking forward to seeing them on the court!
