Frank Booker

Yeah, Skyvue said in his practice report that Booker didn't participate, and that he was "moving pretty gingerly."

It might have been best if he had sat this game out to give his ailing back more rest.

He wasn't too bad tonight. Lon didn't get him in the game enough in my opinion. Maybe he's slowly working him back in, but there was no chance for him to get in a rhythm. He played hard on D when he was in.

I thought he played well tonight. Looked a little more like his old self. Didn't look so lost out there.

I don't think he's more than a role player. Unfortunately he's not bringing a lot to the table right now.

I hope Frank heals up and has a strong conference performance. With the addition of Dante Buford, Rashard Odomes and Christian James next season, Frank will competing with a crowded bench for playing time out on the "wing."

He just did not look 100% to me. Back problems can be tough to work through. You fell fine one minute the twist the wrong way and it hurts. I hope he gets back all the way.

I thought he played well. When he went out of bounds to save the ball I got a little nervous.

Frank Booker = Terrence Mullins no more/no less

Fortunately for the Sooners, Lon will give Booker every opportunity to prove that the opinions of message board fans don't count for much.

Amen. The rush by many of our fans to write players off early in their careers drives me nuts.

I'll again cite the same example I always do: What had Stacy King accomplished at this point in his career?

I don't have anything against the kid. Fact is he's not likely to start next year over Walker if Hield goes pro. If Hield stays, his playing time will not improve. I don't see him as a Sooner Next Year. No kid wants to be a 3 year reserve.

So many kids stuck around and had great careers, too many to name them all.

you're right, but kids now don't think that way. There isn't patience. They'd rater go start at a lower level than play a role at a place like OU.

Buford starts not Walker.
