He was on 107.7 this morning....He said he watched OU players in pregame warm-ups vs KU....He said they were not having fun...This team used to always look like they loved playing and having fun doing it...He mentioned a quote from Bill Self earlier when KU was struggling...Bill said they forgot how to have fun and play...

Reid Gettys mentioned on air that he talked to the coaching staff about the demeanor of this team before the game, and they said "very very serious" and they weren't sure if that was a good thing or not.

I would say the same, they looked tight pregame and though out the game seemed irritated and frustrated. They just have to realize that defenses are going to be tight the rest of the year and maybe change up a little something to make them more unpredictable. I noticed Buddy would hang his head and then take off running to try and get free. I don't know if that is because he was worn out or just having a bad day but it did make him more predictable for the defender.

All those NBA scouts got into their heads. Too much pressure for teams not known for so much spotlight from the press and the NBA scouts.

KU lives with this on campus, annually. OU doesn't.

You can tell something has changed with Buddy's attitude for sure. If you watch the 3-on-2 where Cousins goes to Jordan for a wide open three, Buddy mopes for a bit after not getting the ball. I hope they figure this out - and quickly.

That's not a new thing, but I agree, it's happening. Seem a little too much selfishness the last month or so.

Yeah, body language, attitudes and chirping have not been good during this slump.

lots of pressure they werent accustomed to having.

It's not easy being top dog. I believe they will play much better now that some of it has been lifted.

It's quite possible that losing now may help them more in March. top-4 seed will suffice.

From the Oklahoman today:

SOONERS BACK TO HAVING FUN

Earlier in the week, Hield said games hadn't been as fun for the Sooners recently as they'd dropped three of their last four games.

But Saturday, Hield said the game was once again enjoyable.

“We looked at the tape from the Texas Tech and Kansas game and we didn't have fun competing,” Hield said. “This game, we really had fun. They are the toughest team in the country and on their home court.
