I agree with with you about Ohio. Last season they beat Michigan and South Florida. They also gave Louisville a run for there money. They should only be better this year. If we manage to win it will be a very good sign.

Also, the bolded statement is obviously false.

OU will be enough better this season that they will run the good mid majors out of the gym at home. The trouble spots are at Arkansas and the holiday tourney. ORU on the road will probably give them a closer game than Ohio.

I think Ohio will be pretty good, but having them at home will help a lot. I think you're probably right, though, that we should beat teams like Ohio. ORU I am less worried about personally. It is a road game, but not a hard road game (OU fans will be there). If we can't win that one, I will be more worried than I would be if we lost to Ohio.

Can't really disagree with any of that except the part about "shouldn't" schedule MU. I wouldn't expect OU to go out of their way to work MU into the schedule, but if it happened to work out for both teams, I don't see why not. (I'd love to play Nebraska in football occasionally)

I am just spiteful. Truth is, I don't hold much of a legit grudge against anyone but Colorado at this point. But my opinion reflects (as much as some will hate to read this) solidarity with KU on the Missouri thing. I think leaving the Big XII should cost Mizzou as much as possible in the KC market. And since the Big XII has a big presence there, playing Mizzou attracts more media attention.

Hell, I can't even disagree much with what UT has done, in a practical sense.
They are looking out for their own interests and so is everyone else.
OU or Mizzou or anyone else would have done the network deal they received.

Colorado's move deliberately cost OU. I think that's an objective position.
Of course, I am only repeating what I've heard. I read that it was Colorado's doing or 'undoing' as it were. I assume it is true.

That's about what they were doing in the Big 12. So I don't see how are your insults hold ground then. I've always thought from a basketball perspective (aside from losing their KU rivalry) the SEC was a good move for them.

Also, yes, I do care what happens to Missouri basketball. I also care what happens to UCLA, Kansas, Duke, etc basketball because I am a college basketball. I follow the game and watch a lot more games than just the Sooners I love.

And, I would say, generally I do not care what Mizzou basketball fans think of OU prospects. No no. You pop in in with a you guys need to be worried about this really good team coming in. They did this last year and they have all this coming back and OU might need to tamp down expectations.

Horse hockey. They are a good mid major coming off a nice run. OU is a much different team now. That is something you obviously don't know anything about. Kruger wouldn't have put them on the schedule if he didn't think he was going to beat them. And they wouldn't be there if he didn't want them there.

Hell, Pledger,Fitz,and Grooms are as good or better than the kind of player Ohio would typically get. Osby and M'baye will be the two best players on the court. And the three freshman guards are better athletes than Ohio would ever hope to get more than once every 10 years.

So, when you want come in to inform OU fans they need to be concerned about some mid major that we are catching at home. I really could care less.

OU should never compete with Missouri again in any sport for any reason. The conference should not spend money in KC. Missouri tried to destroy the Big XII conference. It was Missouri that got Nebraska and Colorado to leave the conference. Then Missouri left the next year.

F#$* Missouri. Actions have consequences and OU as well as the rest of the conference should never play Missouri again.

Except in football, because it would be fun to beat up on them a few more times.

TO be fair, he wasn't insulting you or any posters, he was insulting Missouri. I think it is pretty clear that MU has a lot of fans animosity right now because they jumped ship. I definitely agree with you that I like to hear from other fans and watch good basketball, but you can't blame any OU fans for negative opinions of Missouri.

I'd say your characterization of Oklahoma's talent compared to Ohio's more or less proves you're ignorant of the kind of team they'll be bringing to Norman.

Arkansas, as a road game, will be tough. But IMO they have major issues inside and outside of BJ Young don't have a great scoring option on the perimeter. I think OU matches up well with them. You have a point guard in Grooms who can handle the pressure and more than enough inside to exploit their weakness there.

Gonzaga will definitely be good, but I've never been a huge fan of theirs. They seem to have plateaued as a program.

Get yourself up to speed if you want to make expert commentary on OU's opponents. West Virginia is on the other side of the bracket in the Old Spice Classic. That would be the non conference part of the schedule.

So, what is the motive for getting on another teams message board and trotting out a mid major boogey man. And questioning OU's ability to handle a mid major at home is absolutely nothing more than a commentary on the current talent level. You are not qualified to do that at anywhere close to the level an OU fan is.

Your premise is faulty due to your total lack of knowledge of what OU has in the gym right now. And no, I'm not going use the ignore feature. Myself, and many others on this board, who I probably disagree with, but, have a great deal of respect for, are willing to take a position and then defend it. When you take the poke, gig, and taunt position, put your big boy panties on because you are going to have to defend it.

No one here's questioning Oklahoma's ability to handle Ohio. Again, pointing out that Ohio is a good team and might be better than the others Oklahoma plays has nothing to do with how good Oklahoma is or isn't. What Oklahoma has is irrelevant.
