Future Sooners

I watched McGuinnes beat Tulsa East Central. McGuinness seemed to be better coached and have more basketball sense than East Central, Midwest City or Santa Fe.

Kaylon Williams selected to the 6A 1st. team of the All-Tournament teams for the State Championships and Sharane Campbell made the 2nd. team in 4A.

Afan, one question, do you know why Kiah Stokes did not make the first team,or is this strictly for underclassmen. With Kiah's national ranking I would think she would be a shoo in for first team in Iowa. Just curious if you might know.

Kiah doesn't live in that area of Iowa. The All-CIML team represents the players in central Iowa. CIML = Central Iowa Metropolitan League.

Kiah Stokes is in the Northeast League.

Iowa has now released their All-State list and Kiah Stokes and Maddie Manning are both on the 1st. team, with Kiah being named Miss. Basketball for the State of Iowa.
Maddie was 1 of 2 players on the 1st. team that were not seniors, so she should be in the lead for "Miss Basketball" for next season.

Thanks, that makes perfect sense. Glad to see Maddie was first team as a JR. for All State. Will be rooting for her next season as well.

How many threes did she shoot?

Can any one find Dashawn assist to turnover ratio?

Both of OU's 2012 commits are multi-sport players.

Kamy Cole's exploits in Cross Country, Basketball and Track are viewed on this thread numerous times so I'm going to add some information on Maddie Mannings sports.

Fall - Volleyball
As a junior she had 101 games, 305 kills, 84 kill errors, 662 attack attempts, 0.334 efficiency and 3.02 kills per game.

Winter - Basketball
The 6' 1" junior started in 21-22 games scoring 336 points, averaging 16.0 points per game, shooting 41.1% from the field, 15.9% from 3 point (10-63), 73.5% from the free throw line, had 5.6 rebounds per game, 58 assists, 61 turnovers, 60 steals, 30 blocks and 46 personal fouls.

Spring - Track
She is expected to be one of the top contenders in High Jump as she came in 3rd. at State last season with a 5' 4" mark as a sophmore (she had a 5' 2" mark her freshman season).
