Future Sooners

What will kamy do next? After leading Brock to a 3-peat in basketball Kamy can now go for another 3-peat this season as she has won the gold medal in the 1600 meter race at State for the past 2 seasons, so I expect she has now gone into running mode. IMO Kamy is a wonderful athelete and and even better person. Hey Kamy say hello your mon and Dillon for us, we loved meeting you and your family this season.

If Kamy can transfer her skills to Div I ball she will become the "Silent Assassin" for OU. I had the sound turned down so I could listen to another broadcast on my computer and I had no idea that she was scoring 21 points. She does it so efficiently and still is so unselfish with the ball.

Well, she did miss the opportunity to defend her cross country title due to the flu. She can win everything next year.

OU signee Dashawn Harden led her Saint Thomas Aquinas team to a 23-0 record as they defeated Highland Park 61-53 in the quaterfinals of the State Tournament in Kansas.
Aquinas led 19-12 after 1 period, 30-26 at the half and 41-37 after 3 periods. Dashawn led the scoring with 16 points including a 3 point shot. :clap

Do you have any idea what kind of three-point shooter she is?

When my wife and I saw her play against #5 4A Maize last week and she started the game by hitting a 3 getting nothing but net, she got another 3 pointer at the end of the 1st. period as well and only attemped 1 other 3 during the game. Her other points came from jumpers, layups and at the line. She appears to be able to shoot very well, but she passes up open shots at times to get the ball to teammates that she thinks has a closer shot. Sometimes she is too unselfish with the shooting which accounts for her getting more assist. In the State Tournament game tonight she had 7 rebounds, 5 steals and 6 assists to go with her team leading 16 points.

Sounds a little like Kamy Cole. A true team player and mature beyond her years in looking for the best possible way to score for the team and not individually. I like that in a player.

Kamy Cole was selected to the 2A All-State team today, she averaged 20 points this season and was selected the MVP of the State Tournament for the 2nd. year.
Kamy was the only sophmore All-State player in 2A last season. This year her teammates Paige Parliament and Kambrie Shoush also made All-State, with Paige Parliament being also selected to the All-Star team, which features the seasons best seniors. With Parliament and Shoush gone next season the Brock coach Skip Townsend is talking about going to a guard oriented team.
However they get there Brock will be favored to make it back to State next season where Kamy Cole will try to 4-peat the State Tournament. :woot

Sharane Campbell and Star Spencer's season ended today in the Quaterfinal round of the 4A State Tournament as #1 Cache won 78-55. OU signee Sharane Campbell had 34 points in the effort.

Kaylon Williams and Midwest City handles Enid winning 59-33 in a game where Midwest City did not play any of the starters in the 4th. period. Midwest City led at halftime 25-15 and Midwest City put the game away in the 3rd. period. OU signee Kaylon Williams had 9 points in limited playing time.

Not a future Sooner, but I was impressed with this players stats, she is not listed on hoopgurlz and may be under the radar -
