My favorite part is when Kaylon Williams blocks the shot, keeps the ball in play, dribbles it down the court and scores with a left-handed layup. Yay!!!!

Not only that but all the girls know how to use the glass on their shots. Maybe we can have the Midwest City and Norman high school girls give the Sooners a clinic on properly using the glass. :D

Katherine Zander and The Orange Park team defeated conference foe FirstCoast 68-45. Orange Park led after 1 period 17-10 and their lead went to 35-25 by halftime. Orange Parks lead would go up to 47-31 after 3 periods. OU signee Katherine Zander had a game high 24 points.

Kaylon Williams and 9 other Midwest City players scored as every Midwest City player got playing time in a rout of Moore 68-19. Kaylon Williams had 10 points with limited playing time.:facepalm

I don't understand the rankings: Brock #2 Class 2A (out of 5 classes)
Ankeny #2 4A (out of 4 classes), etc.

Can you explain? (Sorry, I must be dense . . . )

Sitka, not trying to steal afan's thunder, but in Texas they have 5 classes starting with 5A down to 1A. Brock is the #2 ranked team at the moment in 2A. Iowa has 4 classes starting with the largest class at 4A to 1A. Ankeny is the #2 ranked team in the largest class (4A) at the moment.

Brock was the #1 until they were upset last week.

Hope that clears up any confusion. Of course Oklahoma has 7 classes ranging from 6A down to Class B as the smallest. If memory serves we no longer have a Class C in basketball.

Thanks for explaining the classes, I had forgot about Oklahoma having a class B just like I forgot that Texas has 2 divisions of Class A, inaddition to separate classes for private and home schools. I was just trying to give an idea of how large of a school the players are at.

Saint Thomas Aquinas beat rival and conferene foe Miege 50-36. DaShawn Harden had 11 points.

And as always you did an excellent job. That's kind of strange that Texas has two divisions of Class A in basketball. I know in football at least in their largest class (5A) they have two divisions when playoffs start. I think it has to do with school enrollment. I know last year Katy played in the second division of 5A and lost in the finals, this year they played in the first division and lost in the quarter finals to Pearland the eventual champion.

Interested in watching a local future sooner play? Sharane and Kaylon both have games today.
Kaylon and Midwest city travel to Del City to play their rival and Sharane Campbell and the Star Spencer will be at Southeast at 6:00 P.M..
