She was a key to the win today. She didn't fill up the stat sheet but, she did knock down a couple of key threes and some nice assists with zero turnovers while doing a really good job of running the offense and playing tough defense.

She reminds me a bit of Vandersloot. She isn't as good as Courtney but, the way she runs the offense and attacks on defense, I see a little bit of Vandersloot in Gabbi's game.

I don't know that she was a/the key to the win, but she had a nice game. In games like these, I feel like the team who outscores the other won. In most games, defense wins games. I actually felt TTU played better defense than us. If I had to pick a player who was the key, I would say Gioya. However, every player who played contributed something.

Today was the second game in which she hit a buzzer beater in a close game in a key time. I think the other time was against Texas.

She is certainly not intimidated by Div I basketball.

She is a true gamer. Gabbi struggled with her out side shot early, kept coming up short, but when we needed a lift she came through, a couple of needed threes or baseline jumper. She is beginning to play within herself and letting the game come to her, not forcing the action. Finally becoming the point guard we need.
