GAME 10 - OKLAHOMA (6-3) vs Oklahoma St (9-0) in OKC 12:00pm CST on FOX

This is a tired argument that I've addressed ad nasuem. Its Nebraska basketball... do you know how terrible their program is? They've never won 1 game in the tourney.. ever. Per my AI (Grok), they are the only power conference team to have never won a game in the tourney.

And you left off what hes doing now (wonder why you did that):

23-11
21-14
10-0 (and just beat a top 10 team)
Regardless, it's all about wins and losses...period. Has Nebraska historically been as good as OU in b-ball? No. But in this day and age, that doesn't mean near as much. What big advantage does OU have over Nebraska in the current b-ball environment? Our fan support is terrible. Our arena is outdated and needs to be replaced. Our NIL support seems to have improved recently, but I'm not sure Porter has any huge advantages over Fred at Nebraska. Having said all of that, if I had my choice between the two to coach here at OU...I'd pick Hoiberg. I was simply pointing out that his first 4 seasons were terrible.

And I realize I left off his last couple of seasons...I was trying to compare his first four seasons to Porter's first four complete seasons...comprende? I wasn't trying to hide anything...quite making this into something it isn't. He's still made 1 tourney in 6 seasons.

My take from being there- Yes Simons is horrible, so many missed calls
There were maybe a few more Aggies than Sooners but nowhere near twice. They were louder than we were at the beginning. Apparently this game didn't "just mean more " to our spirit squads, minimal representation from poms (4??) and cheer. Aggies had a full squad of both plus twirlers. Too many people left before girls game, still a nice crowd but not full.
Most of our fans like to sit and watch, like they are at the movies. The majority of the time, their fans were loud and VERY into it. It drives me crazy trying to yell DEFENSE while most were silent observers

They're like that against OU because hating us is the air they breathe, their very reason for being. In any given game at GIA, they're not so very loud nor is the place packed.

You're simply trying to act like hoiberg isn't 10x the coach that loser moser is and I am rebutting that.

I was about to ask. In his very small repertoire against rivals, is it safe to say he owns OSU? I know he's awful against the horns, and I don't have the OSU record in front of me... but it seems like alot of wins against them.
Moser's disaster of a 2023 team provided the Aggies with their FIRST "Super Sweep" since 1965. Since then, though, he's had his way with the orange. That was a big, big game for them yesterday, and OUr Sooners found a way to spoil the party. I think O-State's pretty good this year. I imagine that win will carry some water when March comes around, provided we can navigate "The Faceplants of February" (patent pending).

I already said he's a good coach and I'd take him over PM. You just want to argue. 10X the coach?? Nah. A coach that good wouldn't have sucked so bad his first 4 years on his current job. Plus he hasn't been to a final four yet either. But again, would I trade for him?? Sure.

Good analysis. Hoiberg did a good job at his alma mater after a slow start, good enough to get an NBA job. It didn't work out, and he's doing a solid job at Nebraska. He wins 56% of his games and has a 4-5 all-time NCAA Tournament record. He's 10X the coach I am, but not 10x the coach of anyone I've ever heard of.

Just finished the game, great to pull out the win. Almost thought start of the 2nd we would lose it. Nice to have Jones 3 and D-ing it up well.

Offensively, this is Moser's best team by a mile. If we can play defense and rebound with consistent effort, we'll keep getting better.

Correct, 120.3 is the highest in Moser's era in AdjO. Let's see how high that number stays in SEC play. Easily the best starting guards we have had in awhile. If THAT Xavier Brown shows up, we should be solid running into conference play.

The guy that has surprised me the most --- Pack. I guess I was the only person that didn't know he was as good as he is. He is a really good player. Elite shooter. Plays smart. works hard on defense and doesn't turn the ball over much. Super impressed with him. I am sure I watched him at K State, but just don't remember him. Didn't watch him at Miami. I don't know what his pro potential is due to his height, but he is one hell of a college player.

Totally agree. We are very fortunate to have him. IF X can play like he did Saturday…or even like he did earlier in the season, our backcourt (albeit small) will make us a tough out, assuming our defense is existent. Pack has been outstanding.

He was the one I didn't worry about at all. He had the best resume and body of work
