GAME 18 - OKLAHOMA (11-6) vs #18 ALABAMA (12-5) 12:00pm CST on SECNETWORK

yup...if their 3pt shooting had been anywhere close to their average...we get smoked
That shot a lot closer to their season avg than we did. We were 25% at home. So if both teams shoot their avg, we win. But that didn’t happen…sucks. We got to win some games.

I hear ya, but mo was in perfect position for the put back. Maybe if Pack wasn’t 2-10 from 3, it wouldn’t have even mattered. Porter actually drew up the perfect play at the end…Porter can’t make the open shots.
But what about the previous several possessions when we were down 3? Mo is a liability there. Every coach in the world would go offense/defense and get Kirill in as another 3-pt threat.

Anyone know why Kirill was on the bench the last two minutes? In a sequence of must-score offensive possessions, he had Mo on the floor every trip.
Not true. He played most of last two minutes until he fouled with like 20 seconds left. After that is was a FT contest.

This loss will probably turn into two losses when SC beats them.
i think this loss might turn into the team being done with porter and just going through the motions ..

should fire porter now .. make X's stepdad the interim and see what they can do the rest of the way .. (before the coaching search) .

Not me. I didn’t want to go to OT. Most nights pack makes that.
I think the play was designed to get the ball to Brown, with him trying to get into the paint or kick it out to Pack for 3. Brown was knocked off course (possibly fouled), which led to a scramble to get it to whoever we could, and a long contested 3. The game was lost long before the shot. Two double-digit leads evaporated within minutes. Most teams don't do that often at home. We do it most of the time we get leads...

So the argument is that drawing it up to get our guy who was 2-10 in the game a 25 foot contested shot was a good play? I’ll respectfully disagree.
I don’t think that was the designed play.

I don’t have an issue with the last play. It was the horrible offense OU had up 6 with a few minutes to go that I have an issue with.

And the fact that Atak didn’t play a single minute.

No he didn’t. Mo was in for all but one offensive possession. The only time Kirill was in was the play where Davis had the ball stripped as he was trying to pass to Kirill. Mo was in every other possession.

I have an issue with not getting something going to the basket down 2 instead of having to settle for the miracle 3. But that’s just me, maybe I’m old-school.

Yeah looking at it again, I agree Brown was probably fouled. Pack has made many of those shots though. It wasn’t a bad look. He’s an elite shooter who shot it very poorly today. It’s amazing we even had a chance, only shooting 25% from 3. You have to be better than that at home.

We prolly arent the strongest at the rim/above the rim.. I didn't hate the 3. I disliked that he pulled up a little further back then I think he needed to. But whatevs. Loser sucks ass

I agree. It’s how the whole season has gone. Just can’t get over the hump. Sucks but it all needs to be burned down and rebuilt

Yeah this is really splitting hairs. We gave up a 12-0 run to begin the half which was the real problem.
