GAME 20 - OKLAHOMA (11-8) @ MISSOURI (13-6) 1:00pm CST on ESPN2

Does Loser even get to 19 wins Blake's freshman year (5-11 in conference instead of capels 9-7)?
Definitely not. Capel regularly got blown out by the really good teams that year, which was a big red flag for me because it never happened under Kelvin no matter how outmanned we were. But Capel at least beat the teams we were supposed to beat. Moser can’t even do that.

Just wait till Rogers develops! And Holst. And Blair. (Wait, what? The latter two will only play a combined 3 minutes in their OU careers?!?)

Really glad we wasted five minutes on Dayton today. Can sure afford to throw away minutes in close games on a guy who has no business being on the floor.
Listen he has ruined Daytons confidence all he has him do is sit in the corner and not be a playmaker plus he is playing hurt right now.

I can’t stand Moser and he sucks at developing players but Dayton has been terrible. And I am so sick of the injury excuse. My God it’s amazing how long our fans use injuries to excuse awful play. He sprained his ankle. It happens all the time to basketball players. It doesn’t excuse going 10 weeks without making a three for a guy who is mainly a shooter.

Just noticed that if not for one turnover, our staring center would have put up a 13 trillion today. Wonder if Loser will make a lineup change or keep rolling with this unit since it is clearly working so well.

I think I’m finally broken. I was ready for a coaching change already. But this game showed me my spirit had been broken. I just kind of shrugged off the loss without emotion despite it being a pretty exciting game and a gut punch of a way to lose.

PM don't have someone foul in the closing seconds as the ball is inbounded. If the receiver of the inbounds has his back to his basket or does his 1st dribble
how is he going to throw up a shot? Can't think of 1 positive in any phase of basketball that PM has.
Time for For Sale signs to be plastered on his lawn.

Also, what a classic example of coaching scared. Scared that they may foul and have it called in the act. And how about being a good enough coach to tell his guys, he, if they inbound in the backcourt and the guy is dribbling, that’s the time to foul. Once he picks up the dribble, that’s when you have to be careful, but as long as he has his head down and is dribbling up the floor, there is no risk of continuation being called.
But that’s what Alabama did and we got the continuation call. I get his decision on that. Sec called that in ou favor already. We are due to pay that back.

Nah I disagree. The way Mizzou was dribbling up the court today gave us the absolute perfect opportunity to foul without any chance of it being a shooting foul. And like I said, the fact it occasionally backfires is no excuse for getting scared to try it. There are hundreds of examples of teams hitting buzzer beaters every season. You can probably count on two hands the number of times fouling backfires.

And this is why he will be replaced. That’s simply unacceptable. I think the decision to not foul at the end of regulation is a little overblown. It’s not like 99% of all other coaches would have fouled there…I see plenty of others that don’t…and this year with the continuation, it’s even trickier. Pierce is a career 32% shooter from 3. He was what, 30-35 feet out?? That’s probably a 15-20% shot and of course he made it. But it only helps cement the decision to me. We’ll see if this new AD does the right thing.

Who cares what he shot as a freshman? He's a junior now and he's shooting 45% from deep. And Mizzou had at least two other guys on the floor who shoot the three just as well. You have to foul in backcourt. Toby Rowland was saying, "Surely he's going to have them foul." (Not a direct quote, but close.)

When asked about potential candidates, although felt more like a guess:

Ryan Miller is the coach of Murray State. He has them back on the map in or near first place in the MVC this year. He is the brother of longtime NBA player Mike Miller. Originally from South Dakota. Coached at Memphis under John Calipari and at Creighton under Greg McDermott.

Scott Cross is the coach at Troy. They won the Sun Belt last year with next to no NIL. He formerly played and coached at UT-Arlington, where he was very successful and took them to the tournament. Was fired from UTA (probably unjustly) by a new AD who wanted to bring his own guy in from UT.

Neither of these guys will win the press conference, but they can both coach. (I don't think anyone will win the press conference....our fans will want a big name that we can't get)

Kellen isn't coming. He's waiting for the U of H job.
