GAME 33 - OKLAHOMA (20-12) vs KENTUCKY (21-10) 8:30pm CST on SEC NETWORK

But we can't count on those calls so... why not get a coach that can make up the difference, hopefully pm gets an offer this year

No coach will consistently beat Kentucky with ou’s absolutely pathetic NIL. Kentucky is the bluest blood of them all. It’s not the x’s and o’s it’s jimmies and joes.

He is doing a fine job?....seriously? Over what time period? The last two weeks?....then yes. But the last four years? The answer is unequivocally no. I just have a hard time believing this fanbase has sunk so low that simply making the tournament (barely) is somehow satisfactory to where we want this program to be. Because based upon all available evidence, that is probably what we can expect under Moser....a tournament appearance or two every five years. I think we can do better.
Worst coach in 45 years, lest we forget

Sometimes it takes coaches time to adapt. I understand we under performed the last two years. I think Moser has it figured out. Yes, every coach in division one has to deal with this. But, he is partially handicapped with NIL, the arena, and fan support. Ultimately coaches are defined not how they start, but how they finish. I do not think it is fair to finish judgement until his tenure is done. He has gotten better at recruiting every year. Kai Rodgers could be a difference maker

Capel was better. Yes those 2 were bad, really bad.
lol you don’t think Moser with the Blake Griffin roster would win a title? While not a direct comparison, Moser’s best season is a final four. Capels was elite 8 if I recall correctly. And moser did not have a single NBA player on that roster

Omg always the nil bit.. why do we even bother playing?

you think Kentucky just got lucky to be elite? No, they invested their money and time to be elite. There were 10k fans there tonight for Kentucky. Ou had about 50 fans there. Ou fans haven’t invested much to be elite in basketball so it is unreasonable to expect elite results.

Facts are facts. If your company has 100 million dollars to work with and your competitor has 500 million, who’s more likely to be successful
No one's asking to beat them every time. Just a terrible argument. X has more money so we can't beat them, ever, I guess.. chalk up 2 losses every year to UK from now forward

Rutgers paid 2 stars and went like 17-15. But we can't beat them bc NIL or something

Does that not help Mosers case? He does not have two NBA guys (sorry Moore) and yet his team is significantly better than Rutgers

No I def don't think pm would win a title just bc he got BG.

You are correct. What's pm's best season at ou? Did he get an elite 8? 1 tourney appearance? Hang a banner already

Pm is a 55% winning coach lifetime.

Ou will beat Kentucky in football for probably the next 20 years because they don’t invest in football like ou does. Ou hadn’t lost to Kansas in football in 30 years until a few years ago.

This is where I am. Barely getting in after 3 years of misses is not what I want for the program. The recent play is what I have been hoping for a long time. Even with that last play tonight I can live with this loss. It’s all of the no-show butt stomping losses over the years that still have me miffed. Way too many games where we just look like we picked up 5 guys off tbe street an hour earlier. And without Fears (which Moser’s gets credit for) can you imagine how many more losses this year? Anyway, we won’t have him next year and I have zero confidence we will see anything next year that even closely matches what we have seen the past 4 games.

It's not an elite/non-elite thing to win a one-off basketball game.

You guys are so beat down. You're just willing to be competitive in games but lose and you're happy as a clam. Bc hey, they're elite. We can't win

lol Jeff Capel is a career 57% winning coach. And Moser has been at some poverty programs. Capel got handed his roster while Moser had to build

I am not happy with just competing. I have been critical of Moser’s late game strategy tonight. I just do not think he is being given credit where credit is due

Huh? Capel took over a roster that lost all of Kelvin’s best recruits, and had also lost a lot of seniors. I can’t stand Capel but he wasn’t handed a good roster.

Nah I am bloody pissed to lose to them again by 1 gd point. I also have some perspective though and realize that if we traded rosters and fanbases, ou would have won both games.
