GAME 33 - OKLAHOMA (20-12) vs KENTUCKY (21-10) 8:30pm CST on SEC NETWORK

Turn him left, or make him do anything other than get straight downhill. We never forced him to change directions. He want right by design and then just beat us down the sideline. And this is a guy who isn’t exactly tight with his handle.
He just turned it over 2 prior possessions.. idk how on earth you don't fully commit and make him make a 3rd decision....

Pm is going to get oweh drafted after all. All of this tape pm is making for him

I agree with this, but didn't he beat us to the left in Norman?? I think some of it we aren't giving enough credit to Oweh. He has a clutch gene we didn't see in Norman. That last play reminded me of Kobe ripping out the hearts of so many teams with last second impossible shots like that. And no, I'm not comparing Oweh with my guy Kobe.
He started much closer to the basket that time. Tonight, Elvis HAD to force him left just past half court for the defense to work.

He would’ve dribbled into two defenders if he’d done that.

Gotcha. I know he was pretty one-handed at OU. At least it looks like he is more comfortable going both ways, but obviously I agree with you he loves to get downhill using his right.

Oweh is getting drafted all by himself. He has played well all year. I said when he was a freshman he was going to get drafted before he’s done.

I get we re unhappy but relax there. Oweh isn’t playing anywhere but Europe or in China. Seeing him bully his way to the basket over and over isn’t basketball.

Worth mentioning that even though his minutes were limited (mainly by fouls, partially by his coach), Mo ended up with 9 and 6 tonight. He really played well in this tournament. If Sam is back next week, I pray (but doubt) that Moser keeps Mo in the starting lineup.

If ou has an early game we better pray Sam is back because Mo will not be able to drink water apparently.

I understand my sentiment may not be shared by the vast majority but here goes. Does Moser have his flaws? Sure. He cares and the guys have rallied really really hard. His persistence in coaching the guys back to a competitive team is remarkable, especially after we appeared to be dead in the water. Once again, Moser being passionate on the sideline is not a “loser” mentality. I think he could do things better, but I also live in reality. He is doing a fine job.

Amazing effort to come back to take the lead, but we suck at defending on a short clock. Reminds me of watching that in person against Houston last year.. and so many others. The comeback makes it worse actually, winning! and then .. damn. Lol.

We willingly let their best player catch the ball and do the thing he does best that he also literally did the last match up for a win.... idk how else to explain how obviously wrong that scenario is and it happens 2x
We didn’t defend it well enough. But this is much different than the last play in Norman. There we let him isolate in half court against a smaller and weaker player. I don’t like what happened tonight but I hate what happened in Norman much more.

He is doing a fine job?....seriously? Over what time period? The last two weeks?....then yes. But the last four years? The answer is unequivocally no. I just have a hard time believing this fanbase has sunk so low that simply making the tournament (barely) is somehow satisfactory to where we want this program to be. Because based upon all available evidence, that is probably what we can expect under Moser....a tournament appearance or two every five years. I think we can do better.

Goodine being in at the end on the last play is a complete failure.

Wague not being in, also a failure.

Also, stupid ML bet.
And even though Mo might be foul prone, so is Sam, and I bet he would have been in for that play if he was healthy. And the other thing is, it’s not like Mo would have been guarding Oweh. He just would have been in the paint as the last line of defense at the rim. His size alone may have changed the shot.

Props to Oweh, by the way. We all know that most of our guys would have missed that shot. He is strong and physical and finishes much better this year than last.

Agree with all of that
