GAME 5 FINAL (B4A) - OKLAHOMA (5-0) BEATS PROVIDENCE (5-1) 79-77 - Next game tomorrow vs Arizona

Man, if you have players that let that affect them they shouldn’t be on the team. That is such a horrible reason to not be prepared for a sub. It just wasn’t good enough
LOL. Confidence? Want them thinking about ft only.

Been apart of a comeback with 4 seconds left down by 4...actually made the game tying 3 to send it into OT.

Also been apart of a loss in a similar situation. It absolutely does happen.

Reggie Miller had 8 pts in 9 secs.

So agree to disagree.
It can happen if someone is dumb enough to foul. I have never seen a team go down and score...foul on the inbound pass...and then go all the way down the court and score again....all in 3.7 seconds. The math just isn't there. I'm not one of the constant Moser critics on this board...but he screwed that one up. We did win, though, so it's time to move on to the next game.

Again, this involves a foul. If your team doesn’t understand not to foul up four with three seconds left, that also is alarming. And to state the obvious, there was a ton more time left when we unbounded the ball there. We had enough time that the defense couldn’t just afford to let us score without resistance. Tonight, that wasn’t the case. If they throw the ball into the backcourt, time would expire by the time they get a shot to the basket. If they throw it 85-90 feet and shoot a two, maybe in a perfect world for them there would be a fraction of a second left, we would still be up two, and all we would have to do is avoid throwing the ball directly to them on our inbound.

Thinking about tomorrow, I’d imagine the focus will be rebounding. Arizona is a great rebounding team. We have to shore that up or we’ll get punished for it. Hopefully our lack of success in that area today helps us commit to busting our butt for every board tomorrow.

I’m sure you’ll be frothing at the mouth to blame moser for everything while you revel in every OU mistake.

If Godwin does not get in foul trouble, today some of those were weak calls, that will help. Any info on Wague? Northweather was a decent fill in today, but don't want to rely on him if we don't have too.

Point out the stupid comment and how so, then. I’ve certainly seen some questionable ones from you but I respond to them like someone capable of articulating my thoughts
Your comment was dumb. You want the player focusing on the FT only. Not if they are getting pulled. It doesn’t make them mentally weak. It’s called distraction and interruption

lol is easier

Subbing in for elvis I would assume.
From what I saw.. yes, moser signaled for the shooter as Cole was headed to the check in. BUT, I also noticed Cole was moving towards the check in while Elvis was getting ready to shoot.. had the ball in his hands…

Maybe I didn’t see it right but that’s how I remember

I'd like to know about Wague, too...but Northweather made a couple of BIG shots tonight. I'm hoping he can have some minor impact as we go forward.

I think the body language is key here. If this had been an officiating snafu, or if somebody messed up at the scorer's table, I think you would've seen Moser blow a gasket. As it was, he acted a bit meek, and seemed to take all of the explanations without much change in expression. That leads me to believe he knows he screwed up. That said, the point is moot because the victory is ours; and the pinheads running the computer algorithms will not be able to take anything from this contest but a 79-77 W for the good guys. With the winner's bracket losing steam due to upsets, it sets up a nice opportunity for us to make some hay.

In other news, I expected to be madder than I was when I saw the Elvis travel on replay. Upon further review, he took about 5.34 steps. Good grief! Talk about a team flirting with disaster. Lots to be learned in the film study of the final minute!
