The sobering part is that Marquette is definitely a lower half finisher in the Big East. They haven't really been close to impressive at any point this year. I expected to at least see incremental progress from this team on the defensive end, but so far, it's only been in short spurts. It's weird. I think individually, we have really good talent in the top 8. But they have absolutely no idea how to play defense or rebound the ball.

I've watched two Marquette games this year, against Indiana and Maryland. They were 4/16 and 11/40 from 3 in those games...and yes they had plenty of open ones too in those games. Surely they don't keep this pace up. We've missed several wide open ones...they are hitting.
