Game 9 - FIELD HOUSE GAME #21 OKLAHOMA (8-0) vs. ALCORN (0-9) 7pm CST on SEC NETWORK+

Well...not sure what to say. ASU isn't going to shoot like that again in the 2nd half, but they certainly have an argument in their place amongst the worst teams in D-1 (#357 out of #364). I don't know why this team feels the need to "play down" to the level of competition, but they are pretty consistent with it for sure. ASU has losses to 6 teams by 24+.....and a few of those teams aren't all that great.

I like this bet at this point. Hopefully we come out strong in second half like we did in last game.
We only need to play about 12 minutes of good defense in this half and the bet is probably safe.....but actually doing just that is far from certain....gulp.

Yeah, we aren’t playing any defense. Just a lack of interest in playing defense

I’m REALLY glad I didn’t check in till half.

lol… when I got to the game after watching the horns go down I was in shock. Especially when I saw ASU is 0-10. Ouch haven’t won a game and leading OU 14-5.

Nice to see the bench come in and fire it up.

Haven’t watched the whole game (bc it wasn’t included in season tickets) but sad to see it so empty in there. A little surprising after last season’s success with the students and this year’s success on the court.

Forsyth has done Ok against this team bringing the ball up the court. But watching him reminded me of Tubbs first or second year playing against KU. We had Bo Overton bringing it up against Darnell Valentine from KU. I remember holding my breath every time because Valentine either took it away from him or almost did.

Sadly, Overton was before the 3 pt line which robbed him of a whole lot of points.

Valentine was a really good player out of Wichita. I think he was on the inaugural McDonald’s team and had a decent NBA career.

That is another thing that worries me about playing so many really bad teams. Our guys seem to come out flat, get off to bad starts, and don’t really learn anything from it since they can get away with it. You just have to wonder if they’ll be able to break that trend in the real games.

My brother just moved to Norman for work… Norman hospital.. so I’m hoping to get different for a game or two now.

Yes he was… Heights I think. Ricky Ross was at south. Antione Carr was heights as well. DV had thighs like a running back… lol
