3 rebounds... and he had 2 rebounds yesterday against Baylor

He officially has not had more than 6 rebounds against any conference opponent all season, and I think that was once. Its been 5 or less pretty much night in and night out.

Possibly the worst rebounding big guy (post player) in the country.

I stll like Fitz a lot, but I feel like over the past few weeks (with a couple exceptions) he's really regressed from how he started the season.

Fitz has no business playing the 5. His vertical is just not there. He has a great mid range game and pretty crafty post moves. That being said, I think his future is at the 4 for sure.

They guy has a 4 inch vertical, and is very unathletic. Unless a ball goes directly to him he is probably not going to get it. Its been like this his entire carreer here, it should come as no surprise. And he pretty much had no help down low except Cade, he is what he is

I don't think he's unathletic per say. I think he's actually fairly athletic as a post player. But he can't jump. He probably will be our most athletic post player next year no matter who we get. And our best overall post player. I think he would have been better off if we went with the 2 post lineup with Washington more.

I dont buy any of the "he was out of position" stuff.... he is a post player, playing in the post. You should get more than 3 rebounds on accident just by being around the rim for 30 minutes.

There are lots of shorter guys playing center that are leaps and bounds better on the glass than him... Marshall Moses is about 6'5'' and he does a very nice job on the boards at the center spot on a small team.

I think the guy just sucks at rebounding.

Fitz cant run or jump so I would call him unathletic. He is a crafty post player with a pretty good touch, but athleticism is not in his game. I would say Washington and Goff are going to be more athletic then Fitz next year, pretty much any post player we have is more athletc then Fitz. Its nothing he can help, some guys are just not athletic no matter how much weight you loose or workout. He is our best low post scorer though, but that doesnt have much to do with how athletic he is

I think he has really poor fundamentals. Blocking out really isn't that hard when you are as big as he is. You hear all the former coaches that are now announcers say the same thing. 'Put your butt out there' Especially when you are as big as Fitz. But Fitz just doesn't really do that well. And sometimes he makes no effort to rebound. Rebounding is pretty much effort.

I'm sure he hurt Fitz's feelings because he called him out. Fitz probably packed it in for the rest of the season just show Capel up. :ez-roll:
