This board's infatuation with Evans is becoming comical. Nothing against him as a coach, but there are more qualified candidates out there.

I wouldn't mind seeing evens as a lead assistant. Let him cut his teeth under a proven coach then he can be named HC in waiting

Problem with this is no head coach is going to come in and hire Evans...doesn't make sense from a job security standpoint. Evans needs to go to another D-I school and prove he can win at that level first.

cause the attitude here is if we can't get a homerun hire may as well get a homer hire.

there are other good candidates out there cept BCG, Buzz, and I guess Pastner. Marshall is a hot candidate for other jobs, supposedly he turned down Iowa last year as he is waiting for a better situation. Again we could do a lot worse then a guy like him who has proven he can win games, which is the only thing I care about.

Yes. Because I don't think Marshall's ceiling as a coach at OU is high enough. Evans' might be.
