Has being a one-trick pony bitten KU in the #%$ ???

fine cheno. you're right.

I just wonder why, despite all your reasoning, that KU is in the "B" list of schools (or not on the list at all) when the SEC, Big-10, or PAC is discussed as a new conference destination?

Maybe the rest of the sporting world doesn't view KU the same as a Jayhawk fan?

Really? Have you been paying attention to what all this is about? Everyone is talking about so I would hope so. Its about tv, subscribers and population of media markets. you really think the pac 10 wants Colorado for their stellar athletic on the field prowess.

you've been trying the Colorado argument, but there is apparently something outside of sports that seems to tie Cali with Colorado. The PAC10/Colorado thing has been spoken of for years now - - and it makes about as much sports sense as Stanford.

KU is now trying to spin that they will be a part of a bcs conference somewhere. The only one they'll be a part of is the big12.

And you know this how?
We're only on the first layer of all this. If the Pac-10 makes a superconference of 16 teams like the Big East you don't think the SEC, ACC & Big 10 will look at doing the same?

So you're saying having a zero-trick pony doesn't play into the Colorado scenario? Being a one-trick pony didn't play into the Nebraska scenario?
But whatever scenario KU is in it's because it's a one-trick pony?

I think your hatred/envy/obsession whatever it is with KU is clouding your judgement.

I have been trying to tell you it doesn't matter about Colorado but you refuse to listen. Heck, it was even mentioned by the Nebbish AD and Dr Tom today at their presser (Colorado's inexplicable link to the PAC10 and Cali).

It's not hatred, it's truth.

"one-trick pony" doesn't have anything to do with this. Otherwise, Nebraska wouldn't be going to the Big 10. They are one-trick.
And how do you explain "no-trick pony" Colorado going to the Pac-10.
Or the Big 10 wanting Rutgers. It's about money and how big the population is in your state.

very true, all about the money.

I think KU will get an offer from a big conference (acc, imo) to gain access to the kc market.

That would be my thought as well. With KU you get all of Kansas and Kansas City and the national exposure as well. The ACC would be a nice fit league wise but a long ways away. Bottom line is one dominoe needs to fall before all the others do. If the Pac-16 happens then you'll see the Big 10 and SEC steal some teams maybe from the ACC and Big East and on and on.

"All of Kansas" :ez-roll:
